As far as Griz fans on here, I think its terrific, I honestly do. And believe it or not, I love seeing MT represented in the national spotlight, even by the Griz. But self-righteousness from any vantage point is obnoxious, plain and simple. It's that same kind of mentality that oozes from Notre Dame fans that makes me despise them. Don't misconstrue that; I was not likening the team in Missoula to the one in South Bend. But at times I do see a common arrogance and it's disheartening at best and disgusting at worst.
Bottom line, on most weekends, my allegiance rests with any team from MT. But I always want to see the Cats beat the Griz.

Listen, I talk smack when it's talked. I have no ill will towards the Cats. I enjoy doing it to certain people because it gets ME pumped for the season and really makes Griz/Cat more of an emotional game.

My mother graduated from MSU and so have many of my friends. I just truly love stoking the fire... it makes the upcoming Griz/Cat game more exciting. It's fun to see the burns/insults/comebacks people have. Some of them you zing them back even worse... sometimes they zing you leaving you in your chair going DAMN... I've got nothing.

With that being said... take my posts with a grain of salt. It's all part of being a fan and I would expect nothing less from the Cats. Of course we all should have a little filter in our brain in reference to burns/insults vs plain poor taste.
It has always been Cat-Griz jackass.
Griz-Cat... until you win the Sky on your own.
Don't give me conditional statements on what the game is called when I have other GRIZ FANS AND ALUMNI FROM 30 YEARS AGO that say it is Cat-Griz. Plus Griz-Cat just sound dUMb.
You show your age with Griz fans from 30 years ago... slow to change with the times. Then again, all be it they're Griz fans and all, thirty years ago lands them in 1967... they probably saw Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and wouldn't know if it was Griz-Cat or Cat-Griz.
Actually, 2,007 - 30 = 1,977 , but hey, that's why Mickey D's uses pictures of hamburgers instead of numbers on their cash registers.

You really think I'm showing my age?

I'm 22, and I just graduated from MSU this year FOOL. If you think 22 is old, then you need a reality check.

One last time: IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE CAT-GRIZ. ANYBODY WHO SUGGESTS OTHERWISE DESERVES TO BE PUBLICALLY HUMILIATED FOR BEING SUCH AN INSUFFERABLE IDIOT!!!!!!

Just because I wore my MSU gear to one of their games and they were playing for a championship (although Marshall actually beat themselves, but again, I digress).

The previous paragraph made no sense whatsoever. The digressions from the copper, gold and silver who choose to wear dark pink makes no sense, especially if the discussion is in Bobcat Athletics. Very few of us actually give a rats ass about how you do and only post nice things to get you to go back to work in Oregon, Washington, Arizona or wherever you've been banished to. Montana's MSU Bobcat country again and I'd like a large order of fries with that order
You're back to drinking straight from the bottle, I see...

This thread is hilarious.

You guys need to take up anger management or racquetball or something.

Anything to get you ready for Griz-Cat.

At first I was going to suggest that the mods shut down this thread. But I think we might be able to get some kind of recognition for the Nation.
Something like longest thread of mindless blabber.

Or the longest thread about appy on someone elses board, well Mich. might have beat us.

In any result I have decided it would be best to leave it open so we can keep track of the mindless, same therory when you leave the pots and pans cupboard open because then you don't get nervous until it is quite.

LOL

I mean really!!!!!!!!

LOL

A close relative of mine called it Cat/Griz, we even went to Cat/Griz games at Dornblaser when I was a child, and these days you can literally see his face in the Griz Hall of Champions as an honored Grizzly with accolades for life-long contributions to the UM program.

You Griz poseurs amuse me.

What a great example! As has been stated before, saying Griz/Cat makes you sound like a Fish and Feathers specialist talking about berries and seeds in bear sh!t.

give it a rest people. I was born and raised in the gallatin valley and it has ALWAYS been Cat/Griz over here, on the other side of the divide, where my uncle lives, it has ALWAYS been Griz/Cat. Just the way it is, always has been and always will be.

to argue about it for this long is just plain ridiculous.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the fact that Cat fans care so much about how it is said only goes to show how insecure they are about the rivalry. And with a sparkling record of 35-66-5 all time, including a 16 game losing streak, who can blame them?

And Ill say that the fact that griz fans feel they have to change it and put their name first shows how narcissistic they are.

Thanks, I knew the answer but since the heading on this thread has had nothing to do with them for quite sometime I thought I would give it a push back toward the correct direction.
