Call me anything you wish. You obviously have been led down the wrong track, and are too stupid to know anything different.

About 4 years ago before I new of any of these boards we went th Wa/griz stadium for CAT/griz. When the game was coming to an end and the cats were obviously going to win I turned to my girlfriend and teh other couple we were with and said "it sure feels good to get that monkey off our back" The 2 guys behind us started shouting every obscene thing he could come up with, the last one was piss on you and we turned and ignored him. All of a sudden my girlfriend screams and said he is peeing on me. I turned around and they both were. I pushed the SOB backwards and he fell over causing him to urinate all over himself. We left immediatley but what really pissed (excuse the pun) us off was all the griz fans were laughing and knoiw one wnated to do anything about it, I will gaurantee that in Bozo the he would have live to regret it. We went to the security guy and he said that he could not leave his station as they had to protect the goal posts. He was right in the middle of the stands for christ sake.

We did not wine about it. But we vowed to never come back. We now go to either Torrey pines in Vegas or out to Seattle for a satelite party and have a great time, when the game is in missoula.

So Diane just don't go. There is no need to grandstand for your cause because the angels in Missoula are no better. I would challenge you to stick to your guns and sit out the cat griz game when it is in Bozeman.

You should send your story to the Missoulian - it might make it to the 125th edition of the Griz-Cat (of course ti will be listed as U-led-ged-bly because it is pretty outrageous and unbelievable that someone could stand up and piss on you in the stands without anyone else around them caring about the stench). Good story anyways, the stuff legends are made of.

I am sure they would have if they didn't know they would be out of there in 2 minutes anyway. Besides there was enough moisture in the stands from the blizzard that game was played in stench wouldn't have been a problem.

tacoma, you should know that I NEVER initiate any of this bullsh*t. I only respond in kind. Every poster has the right to defend himself against smack, don't you think. But, i'll leave it to the sugar coating Griz fans to slam me first after I make another objective post.

It disapoints me that the behavior at these games gets out of hand. In all fairness I went to the Cat/griz game in Missoula last year (2004). I was looking for a friend I had not seen for 25 years (griz fan). He was in one of the fenced off tailgates (there were many) and I had to go from one to the other asking for this guy covered from head to toe with Bobcat clothing. They were all really good and when I found him I partied with 50+ griz fans and we had a really good time (and yes I was passing out as much crap as I was taking and they were fine with it). The vast majority of these fans were middle aged +. So yes, I think the problems come from students who are drinking. I would not change the Bobcat tailgating practices but I think it does point out how the two schools differ in the makeup of their tailgate parties. The rivalry has a lot to do with it also. I don't think a Weber fan would get near as much crap walking through that area dressed in purple!

Thoughtful, and nicely put, gtapp. Couldn't agree more.

One of my favorite websites: English Football Ground Guide For stadium junkies it's fun to look at. Anyway, for certain teams in the English Football League (that'd be soccer to us Americans) he advises visiting fans to "keep their colours covered and exercise caution around the ground as the home team fans are passionate about their club and this can make for an intimidating atmosphere." I guess I'd say the same thing about Bobcat Stadium visiting fans-exercise caution-keep your colors covered...

Bobcat fans-the soccer hooligans of the Big Sky Conference! :bag: :suds:

Seriously though-our student side tailgating is very raucous. I think our students especially need to get a handle on it or our fun is going to be taken away.

Maybe we should set up a wine tasting area for Griz fans like Diane.
