5 pages of misery, 19 of the last 21 or 23 years between National Championships?
Choices, choices, choices.
Lord, I apologize and be with the pygmies down in New Guinea

A-hem. 63 of the 81 posts (64 of-82 now) on this thread are either by me or Griz fans, so I'm not sure just how sensitive we Cat fans are collectively. Couple that with the fact that most of the posts here are from Griz fans responding to my post, not your initial post.Savage wrote:Never in a million years would I have thought this thread would have made it to 5 pages. I guess I under estimated the sensitivity you guys have at not being very good at football. Again, I Salute You!!
So the reality is the Griz fans are overly sensitive about the fact that Bobby Hauck knowinly brings in players with prior problems (basically sells out) to have a good football team, then when they go bad in Missoula, he isn't held accountable.
Teflon Bobby. He does what he wants, when he wants and wins the BSC Coach of the Year! His bosses, Gov. Schweitzer (Don Corleone?), Dennison (Sonny Corleone) and O'Day (Michael Corleone) are even consumed by Bobby's charms. Schweitzer blames the fans, Dennison blames the UM Administration and O'Day says he has Bobby's back. You must be so proud. And judging by the thread at egriz congratulating him, that's the case for many Griz fans. Not all, so far Grizlaw is the only Griz fan in this thread that has stated that he'd rather be 7-4 and out of the playoffs without all the chaos than 11-0 and in the current state. I'm taking it that the rest are ignoring the question. I'm guessing the price (no playoffs) is too high?

Ob-sess-ive. Obsessive. I can say neurotic, fixated and compulsive, too.
Wow, of all the things I commented on in that post you only said something about the research that went behind part of one comment. Nevermind that the research laid the grounds for the comment. Anything to avoid the heart of the matter, I guess.
Can you say 'ignore the facts?'

Feel free to enlighten us on all those facts I'm ignoring. I've acknowledged that MSU had a problem with former athletes, one existing athlete and their APR. I've acknowledged that we've paid the price. So good luck with that. I'm sure you'll come back with some lame response like, "we've already gone over that." If so, show me where. I'd like to know what facts I'm ignoring and discarding.tampa_griz wrote:Why not? You choose the facts we're supposed to pay attention to and discard the others. We have admitted that Hauck brings in known problem kids to help win now and most of the fan base does not agree with this practice. We have admitted that other kids not on the radar made mistakes and they too have been dealt with.
All the while we keep winning and graduating at a high rate somehow.
You guys had very similar problems but you were not graduating and you kept losing through the transition.
Your right facts are facts.

Alpha and Grizlaw have owned up to it but Tampa and Savage seem to want to respond to the part above and ignore what Crazy said below. Does this mean that they support Bobby in my statment before? I think so.crazycat wrote:A-hem. 63 of the 81 posts (64 of-82 now) on this thread are either by me or Griz fans, so I'm not sure just how sensitive we Cat fans are collectively. I wasn't saying GrizNation in its entirity was ignoring the facts just that some are. I won't venture to guess what that percentage is, but when a thread starts on egriz lauding Hauck for winning coach of the year and very few question it, it makes you wonder just how many people are completely fine with Hauck's methods.AlphaGriz1 wrote:What facts are we ignoring?crazycat wrote:It was difficult, but someone how I managed.Savage wrote:Wow you went back and counted them............can you say obsessive??crazycat wrote: A-hem. 63 of the 81 posts (64 of-82 now) on this thread are either by me or Griz fans, so I'm not sure just how sensitive we Cat fans are collectively. Your right facts are facts.
Those are the type of fans that come here and make inflammatory remarks about the Bobcats not being able to win. Then when I defend our team by making the comparison that UM players were known by the coach to be bad guys versus MSU players not coming in with that same baggage, those same people try to ignore that. And they ignore the fact that our coach was canned at a very poor time, while the Griz transitioned through all the trouble w/o having to hire a new coach right before the season.
I'm not wishing that on your team, but there's a stark difference between the characteristics of the trouble-makers at both schools and the way the administrations handled it.
I just wonder where these fans that love Hauck's methods for success draw the line.

I will own up to it. If you bothered to read the entire thread I already made mention of the fact that I would be OK with Bobby getting fired. Some Griz Fans are going to let winning get in the way of doing the right thing to fix our program.cats2506 wrote:AlphaGriz1 wrote: What facts are we ignoring?

I did see that, but you seem to go back and forth, guess its just your desire to smack us that makes it look that way. I'll give you credit for it but the larger group over on egriz is willing to let BH have his way with your program.Savage wrote:

Actually a large portion of eGriz is just not that smart, they see which way the wagon is headed and jump aboard. Very few think for themselves and those that do are labeled "bad fans" and negative.cats2506 wrote:I did see that, but you seem to go back and forth, guess its just your desire to smack us that makes it look that way. It is sad that some people are so biased that they cannot admit when they are on the wrong side of an arguement. Certain fans over there have been damn close to saying the murder and burglary stuff is ok and that is just insane.

In the article about the Board of Regents telling both schools to fix the problem, Dennison said something "the evidence shows that we are headed in the right direction"AlphaGriz1 wrote:Actually a large portion of eGriz is just not that smart, they see which way the wagon is headed and jump aboard. I looks like ingoring the problem, is a problem in the administration not just on egriz
