I don't understand why this is such a topic for debate and an insult to Griz fans. I mean, this has got to be considered a sign of deep respect and admiration. The kind of sign that only a 16 games winning streak could formulate.
FTG:
Fear The Griz
I say thanks to those who use this in their signature lines. Now make me a sandwich.

Speaking of abbreviations I finally figured out what SSAMPOR means:
Super Secret Association of Masturbating Pinheads and Other Rejects

Wish in one hand and crap in the other, then see which one fills up first.

Although I have not been admitted in the secret club, I do know they represent truth, justice, and the American way... I've said too much already.

Wrong.
If that is what you two think the acronym stands for then why wasn't my message box stuffed with requests from you both on how to join?
Cledus gets it..........I have already said too much.

I had somebody on the "other site" tell me that they thought FTG was offensive and that he viewed it as a disrespectful acronym. I was dumbfounded. This guy wanted to tell me that he didn't like my screenname while his own fanbase had made up plenty of other disrespectful stuff? I say take a hike. It's a rivalry, these things are standard procedure.

Don't worry about elkie. He was without a doubt the worst poster while we we in the middle of the losing streak as far as rubbing our nose and kicking us while we were down. Now he's taking the high road? Please. The only thing worse than a poor loser is somebody that doesn't display graciousness in victory. Just tell him to get back to midas and change some mufflers.

Wrong pal. I suggested to you that "FTG" in your moniker reflected badly on you and if anything hurt your credibility. I was however, more than a bit irritated because you threatened me with your governmental position. Do I need to remind everyone on this messageboard just exactly what my issues with you were? Do I need to post your pm to me? Yes, I do think the "FTG" is disrespectful and offensive.

Thanks for crediting me with such a dubious but undeserved distinction but ....................
I challenge you to find a post where I ever "rubbed your noses" for your misfortunes. You won't because I have never. If I am guilty of anything in regards to the misfortunes of the Cat football program it is that at the time this stuff was just beginning to make headlines I suggested that it might not be prudent to sweep these issues under the proverbial carpet as so many bobcat fans preferred to do at the time.

(Note that this thread was made many months prior to the Va Tech incident.)
Today we are again reminded (Trib article) that it wasn't just the fans who preferred to turn a blind eye but that it started from the top down.
Yes, the Griz haven't been immune to off the field problems either and apparently neither are many of the DI programs in this country. This does not make it acceptable. There are problems with our youth in this country that need to be addressed, sooner than later.
The fact of the matter is I like to watch the Bobcats play and will watch and/or Tivo the games when they don't conflict with Griz games. I would like to see the Montana teams at the top of the BSC at the end of each and every season. I cheered for the Bobcats during the playoffs last year and was disappointed when they lost to Appy in the quarterfinal. I was also saddened when Kramer was fired because I liked the guy. How many Bobcat fans can say the same things about the Griz program?
I won't even comment on the "gracious in victory" thing.

Elk seems like a good guy so get off his back. A fellow bowhunter and a Griz fan can't be that bad!
