Last Saturday after the Griz beat Albany on the scoreboard, my son went down on the field after the game like he always does.

I was walking around down there going out of my way to not talk to the athletes because frankly if I was one of them I wouldn't want a 35-60 year old jock sniffer harrassing me the way many of the Griz fans do.

This is when I saw a certain Griz poster frantically running around with his camera trying to get pictures with all the players. I watched this guy that I routiely bash the hell out of and couldn't help but feel very, very sad for him. Here is a guy that has to be close to 60, acting like the 8-14 year old kids he was jockying for position with. I will stop short of saying he was pushing kids out of the way, but I wouldn't be wrong in saying that.

How sad do you have to be in real life to act this way in public? It is just sad and pathetic.

I haven't seen anyone dish as much as you do since high school.

I like bashing the Griz as much as anyone...But come on man.

Alpha, this ones on thin ice man. Really not necessary to incite things with this type of stuff.

It was an observation and it really made me feel sorry for the guy that his life is that pathetic.

The purpose of this post was not to incite, but to make people think about their behavior. It made me think about mine and I promised myself to not bash the guy "as much" as I do or have in the past.

No it wasn't our favorite real estate guy!

I agree with the sad part, but its you I feel sad for.

HA Ha now this is quite entertaining!!! I bet he wants too be just like these kids when he gets old

I kind of identify with AG1 on this topic. I don't really get why people would rag on him.

It reminds me of a Billings Bulls hockey game a few years back. Some grown up dork was yelling at the opposing team as they were leaving the ice at the end of a period. He yelled, "Hey jackass! You'll be pumping my gas!!" to the other teams' players. Now, if you had seen this guy you'd instantly tell that pumping gas would be a ste up for him.

I later found out this guy and his wife (or whale, if you will) or girlfriend (however she was connected to him) would throw parties and always invite the team over. We're talking about 16 to 20 year old kids. ENAMORED with kids. That kind of worship creeps me out.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with being a fan and a little harmless living vicariously through our sports heroes. But act like a friggin adult and show a little dignity when doing it, sheesh.

I agree, too. I've had almost the exact same experience at a Griz game. It was someone I casually knew and he was drunk. All I can remember thinking was that this must be a weird dream and aren't you afraid someone will smell your breath or be able to tell you're hammered? Then Alpha's word "pathetic" came to mind. But what's really weird is that it's not just one guy.

I just remember the hissy fit you had when you could not get your balls signed at ejizz. I made the assumption, my bad.
