It'll end up in smack, so I'll start it here.
I haven't been paying too much attention. I know the Griz have been scoring. Won a couple quality games. Cat's won some big ones at home.
I think it'll be a dandy on 1/5/08.
What's going to be the difference maker for both teams?

One thing that has always bothered me, if the education at MSU is so good why can't the alumni pony up more money for improvments?
Basketball wise I think the Griz are going for 6 InARow. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Two.

We don't charge the students for stadium improvements so the wine/cheese fans can buy those seats at premium to sit in them. I like MSU's chances at home against the Griz. Time for some PAYBACK!

We let our students participate in the process and vote on what THEY want. What a silly idea letting the students have a say!!!

Really now. It's a bit of a stretch to call that thing you guys have "a stadium".
I, too, like MSU's chances....of staying within 25.
Yum, this brie is fantastic! But I wonder where I left the cork screw....

It's Cat ENVY!!!
I haven't been to egriz for a long time, but my guess is that a handful of griz fans spend a helluva lot more time on BN than efizz (and in all honestly I don't blame them- roll over enough rocks & sooner or later you're going to be smarter than one of them).

Cat Envy?
Envious of mediocrity?
Is this for real or is it a class at MSU?

That's pretty ironic considering your first post in this thread.

The statistics don't bear out this claim. To date, the Cats have scored 76.9 while giving up 74.9.
The Griz have scored 66.9 and giving up 63.0. If you take out the two blowout Griz wins (Colorado State and MSU-Northern), those numbers change to 65.0 and 68.7. I thought Air Force was a top 25 team last year. That seems to be the only real quality win. To their credit, the Griz have had a decent OOC schedule.
The Cats have been a lot more consistent on the defensive side of the ball.
I'm just looking purely at statistics. Outside of the one game I've been to I can't really speak to what style both teams are most comfortable with. Based on the scoring, I would say the Cats are more of a running team while the Griz seem to be more of a ball control (*yawn*) team.
Throw all that crap out the window. It should be a good game! I know the Cats will pull it off because they will impose their will with impunity.
