And the Griz ripped off WSU's colors? So we are even I was very biased before on school colors, but after seeing how our colors glow on the field -vs- what the Griz's colors look like on their artificial turf I am VERY BIASED NOW You can keep WSU's colors

Ok I wasn't going to get into this but many of you need to go to a WSU game and then you will see their uniforms are red and silver.

WSU's jerseys are red, go to a game.

They do wear maroon for bowl games, probably copying the Griz.

That image pretty much sums it up ... WSU/GRIZ uniforms almost clones of each other.

I've never understood the "UM ripped off WSU's colors!" argument from Cat fans. I hate to break it to you guys, but there are only a certain number of colors out there that schools can use. Is MSU the only school in the entire country that uses blue & gold, or did they "steal" their colors from someone else too?

GL as usual your correct about the color argument.

What I get irritated with is the logo clones.

MSU had a great logo with the script cats logo and the bobcat head was even cool. When you saw that helmet you knew it was Montana State, even people from out of the reason recognized it.

Then they go out and conform to the sleek swoosh style logo that WSU has and now if you ask BSC fans they will recognize the bobcats but get more than a state or so away and the person would say the DelaWHERE cougars or the Sheboygan Sleek Rats.

I can't even see a remote similarity between the WSU cougar and the MSU Bobcat. I guess they are both cats. If you want to get nitpicky about colors-the MSU registered trademark logo colors are MSU Blue, MSU Gold, and MSU Spirit Gold- so it would be very difficult for another school to have these exact colors.

Uh huh...so if we keep our uniform colors exactly as they are, but change the name to "UM Maroon" and "UM Silver," Cat fans will shut up about this, right?

I'll be honest, though, I also don't really see the similarity between WSU's logo and the Cats. WSU's cat is made out of the letters "W-S-U." If anyone is guilty of copying their logo, I'd say it's Eastern Washington (who made their Eagle logo out of the letters "E-W-U," just like WSU did.

i dont know alpha those colors look similer
