And while there is a certain element of smack to my questions (and they way they're phrased ), I truly am interested to hear if there is a logical explanation for such irony beyond simple human nature.

I know that to you it looks like a double standard, but the griz were not the first to have “turf”, “donors” or “remake their mascot”. They are just the ones that made their gameday a circus. Many schools have “upgraded” these things without the circus environment that is the griz.

Because the latest mascot looked like a freaking leopard or a cheetah. At least the old one looked like a bobcat, albeit a really pissed off one. The person that was the scary old Champ was a helluva lot better (more energy and mischief/hijinx) than the new one, IMO.

Ummmm, you said it yourself - the WHOLE 1984 TEAM raised that money, not one person. I don't want MSU beholden to anyone.

Nope that's me. For some stupid reason I registered at egriz on 07/01/05. Since that time I have posted an amazing 63 posts, most of which were answering a question posed by a dUMb fan as to TV coverage, etc.- don't believe me , read them- there are only 63.

Even you and your generally upbeat personality have to admit that of the 2817 posts only about 50 have been pokes at your team.
