Bobcat Playoff Bracket

The Bobcat Playoffs:

(All game times Thursday 11/27, 3:00 pm Mountain)

#16 Peas with Onions

#1 Turkey

#9 Cranberry Sauce

#8 Glazed Carrots

#13 Apple Cider
@
#4 Mashed Potatos

#12 Dinner Rolls
@
#5 Sweet Potatos

#11 Green Bean Casserole
@
#6 Stuffing

#14 Mincemeat Pie
@
#3 Pumpkin Pie

#10 Corn
@
#7 Brown Gravey

#15 Relish Plate
@
#2 Ham

I'll tell you, the game that really jumps out at me here is the battle of the pies. Pumpkin will be a prohibitive favorite, but drawing another pie in the first round is never easy. Second, I really think Corn simply did not get enough credit from the Committee. To be seeded below Glazed Carrots seems like a stretch to me. Stuffing also could make the claim that as a traditional power, they deserved a better draw. And finally, if the seeds hold, the semi-final between Ham and Pumpkin Pie may turn out to be the game of the year. Frankly, however, I don't think any of the teams in this field have the taste to hang with Turkey. I look for them to defend their title.

Mashed potatos are way over rated as a 4 seed. They got that seed on rep and rep alone. One and done for the 4 seed Mashed potatos

I doubt mincemeat will win at all. They are always over-rated, and generally only compete against desserts like cupcakes and brownies all season long.

Gravy had every matchup covered nicely in my bracket. Man, that is a slippery, smooth team.

Cranberry Sauce didn't even make the field - too weak of a resume. Needless to say, it was a bittersweet ending for the boys in Crimson.
