You're obvious post about my obvious post was obviously nothing that we didn't already know. Did you know that if you get the ball across the goal line that it's a touchdown! NO WAY!!jagur1 wrote:The obvious post about the obvious announcer. Seriously CTOWM we already new that.Cat-theotherwhitemeat wrote:a.k.a. Mr. Obvious.

Keep in mind the fact that he's addressing a dUMb audience.Cat-theotherwhitemeat wrote:You're obvious post about my obvious post was obviously nothing that we didn't already know. Hey, who do the Bobcats play this weekend?![]()
Like when the griz were down 10-0 and he comes out with the statement " the griz defense is shutting down Texas state...There is nothing they can do on offense right now..."Common Cat wrote:Grady is hard to stomach, even for Griz fans. I was watching the game with my father and a griz fan and we had to consistently turn the channel to the florida v. flordia state game in order to avoid his bowing down to the griz. The guy takes it over the top. I enjoy when announcers root for their team in a mostly unbiased way(if that is possible)think attabury...but this Bennet is overwhelming and often unrealistic on what he says. I think to one comment he said about the Griz defense went to the tune of, "The griz are so solid on every single play, always in the right spot, every single play." Of course I'm paraphrasing him but it's pretty darn accurate....I mean come on, every single play...every? He is a huge homer.
CapitalCityCat wrote:Or after a personal call foul on the Griz where Grady said (paraphrasing).... "that's just typical, physical Griz play and I don't think the Missouri Valley Conference refs are used to seeing that type of physicality". You're kidding, right?
I recall that one as well and aside from what Grady said I thought that call was pretty weak, but all in all I thught the MVC refs were much better than Big Sky refswhitetrashgriz wrote:CapitalCityCat wrote:Or after a personal call foul on the Griz where Grady said (paraphrasing).... that was my favorite too. yep, no refs have ever seen the type of physical football that the griz play.i will say that homer announcers have never bothered me any. to each his own.

Applegate was supposed to get that job but Dennehy screwed him out of it at the last minute. Grady doesn't deserve to coach the 8th grade team at Evergreen!

Exactly. How many wins did Skyview have in the late 80's? (don't know, asking)rollo_tumasi wrote:Actually I think his job in Glacier has been a good one. Try starting a program from scratch with nothing but underclassmen and see how many games you win the first two seasons.
I can't remember: Did he make that statement before or after the one where he said (after Tx St just scored the first TD to make 10-0), "Well, that's to be expected. This team averages 38 points a game, and you know you're just not going to keep them from scoring. They are going to get their points, and you hope just limit the number of times they have the ball."SACCAT wrote:Like when the griz were down 10-0 and he comes out with the statement " the griz defense is shutting down Texas state...There is nothing they can do on offense right now..."Common Cat wrote:Grady is hard to stomach, even for Griz fans.
