Hauck's Quote

Bobby's quote, " We're not a healthy football team." That odd, I've never heard of any griz player being injured before, must be a case of influenza, the clap or something like that... This is a set up in case thing don't go to well on the road against JMU. Speaking of the road! griz are 1-8 all-time in the playoff games away from missoula & winless in their four road playoff games since 1996.

He has been saying that for several weeks.

Nice out-of-context quote there, auto. Makes more sense if you include the entire quote (of course, then you couldn't use it for smack purposes, so what fun would that be? Never let accuracy stand in the way.
And Griz players are hurt all the time. UM just follows federal law and doesn't release specific information about a person's medical history.

And coaches that release information after having players sign a release form are breaking federal law huh

Are you sure about this? Are you sure enough to put $100 bet on it?

No, most Cat fans are cool. However, it only takes a couple whose words have no credibility before one starts to question everybody else. I guess I was surprised that more people didn't step up and ask Crazy to do the right thing.

GrizinWasington,
From one Griz to another, it seems to me that you should've made some obvious stipulations in your bet. Like, requiring the font to stay at a certain level and that crazycat has to post once a day or something like that. Anyone could get around that bet the way you put it together. All he has to do is not post under that screen name and create another name to post under. Or just not post. Or shrink the font way down, so you can barely read it. Anyone could've figured that out.
It's your own fault for not doing this stuff and you should just admit that and move on. He had an easy time outsmarting you this time, so quit crying about it and learn from it.

GG, with all due respect, the bet had nothing to do with cc putting anything in his signature line. The bet was that he had to surrender his screen name to me. The quote in the signature line was just a gracious offer by me allowing him to continue to keep his screen name and post. I didn't have to offer that to him at all. So it would seem to me that any attempt to circumvent the clear and obvious spirit of my offer is ridiculous. I could have held him to the original contract of the bet.

Well I'd like to stick up for you, but I have to take the side of fair play. I've been following this since you made the bet and first of all I never thought the bet was for one to give the other access to their screen name and password. So as far as I'm concerned that's just absurd. I assumed it was that you lost your screen name meaing either you had to change your screen name or not post under your screen name and that is what CrazyCat said he thought and that sounds reasonable. You made the mistake of coming back with a new offer of putting something in the signature line and he accepted, after he explained what he thought the terms of the bet were. You could've just taken his interpretation of the bet and been done with him for good. You also called CrazyCat a welch even though he was honoring the bet as he had interpretted it. I thought that was kind of mean.
So then he, wisely, agreed to your terms and posted what you wanted in his signature line and you said you were cool with that. Then he put his sig line in a small font and you called him a welch again. I could still read his signature line at first, but apparently you made him mad by calling him a welch, so he shrunk it down so small that now you can't read it. That kind of served you right I thought at the time. You've been playing your cards very poorly throughout all of this and should just face the fact that you screwed up. As far as I'm concerned he can make his font as large or small as he wants, because the words you asked for are there. I don't consider that welching on a bet. He just outsmarted you and you have to take the good with the bad.

Look, this whole thing has gotten out hand.
But some of you don't really understand what the bet was about. While Crazycat is indeed completely crazy, he's no dummy. He knew precisely what the
real bet was for, and he even used the term when he offered the bet. The real bet was for dignity. Crazy knew that the loser would have to surrender the use of their screen name (the methodology to effect that frankly doesn't matter). Crazy, being no dummy, no doubt assumed that the loser would simply create a new screen name. But he understood that every time the loser logged in with that new name, every time they posted under it, they'd be reminded they lost the bet. The
real bet wasn't about screen names. The bet CC proposed was about dignity. He understood that.
As for me, I've learned it doesn't pay to to try to be the nice guy.

How many threads are going to devolve into this worthless discussion? This is f'ing stupid. Get over it. Drink a beer. Watch tv. Find something else in life to focus on. And for pete's sake, ONE person who is a fan of a certain team slighted you in your eyes. Don't lump us all together. Sheeze.
