HELENA - Gov. Brian Schweitzer is on his way south to catch two Montana football teams competing for the top spots in national championship football.

“I could not be more proud of these two outstanding football teams,” Schweitzer said in a news release. “My hat’s off - not only to all the players, but to the staff, coaches and all the parents who have worked so hard to make these two teams so incredible. I am excited to take in some Montana football. Go Griz and Go Saints!”

On Friday night the University of Montana Grizzlies take on the Richmond Spiders in the NCAA Division I Championship Game held in Chattanooga, Tenn. Then on Saturday Helena’s Carroll College Saints will face off against the University of Sioux Falls Cougars in the NAIA National Championship in Rome, Ga.

Governor Schweitzer will attend both games before heading home Saturday night.

Let's just hope he doesn't pull a Palin and pack up a bunch of family members and have the state pay for them as well.

I think that would qualify for a good bit of public flaming ... I guess we'll be on the lookout for the dog during the broadcast. I'm sure he'll get at least a little TV time.

Hopefully someone will burn down Schweitzer's church like they did Palin's....with people inside. Sarah Palin, her family, friends, and congregation need to be burned alive. They're too dangerous and not tolerant enough.

Seems to me I heard something a while back about glass houses and rocks. Ever hear that one Tampa? No? Didn't think so. #-o

Ohhhh, the irony...

So the Griz and the Saints lose. If I were a superstitious guy one might say it's all the governor's fault. He went and the outcome was the same with almost identical scores. Hmmm
