Hating the Griz

A simple question that my friends and I talk about constantly. Also in light of some of the griz fans on here (Griznationalist) that all they do is talk smack and about how great the griz are and how little competition they have.
Would you hate the Griz so much if there were not so many HORRIBLE fans?
I would still really dislike them because of the rivalry but if the fans were not so terrible, egotistical, (insert whatever you want here) I would potentially be able to root for them in the playoffs. But if most of the fans were like grizgirl or BDizzle it might be a slightly different story.

back in the 90's I did root for them in the playoffs, since then though it seems like every idiot in the state is wearing maroon and they spout off year around. when you question them, most of them know nothing of their team or football for that matter. Also I doubt if the fan base were to change I would root for them until they got a coach with a little class again.
I dont mind the grizidiots that know football, but most of those know how close they really are to an 8-3 or worse season, so they dont make as much noise.

I was born a Bobcat, Dad was born & raised in Bozeman. At Helena High we were split between Cats & griz and those of us who went to college split, we smart ones attended MSU & those into pottery, dance & dope went to dUMb (honestly, damn every one of my close friends came to Bozeman). The rivalry was always fun (still is with friends) but to me the hate came into play during the streak. Even then it wasn't bad until the griz finally won a NC in '95, until then I could always back 'em down with the fact they had never won a NC. I have absolutely nothing against griz athletes and have thought highly of some of their coaches (Don Read, Joe Glen) but including Hack I have detested a few like Blaine Taylor. There is no doubt, to me personally, that most of the hate is attributable to obnoxious, bandwagon, asshole griz fans (I realize that is redundant as hell).
So, it's FTG!!!!!

You strike me as one of those adult women that refer to their father as "my daddy". Weird.

Why would I want the Griz to be an irrelevant FCS team?

Beats me, maybe to match your own personal inadequacies?

Then why would you say that I would want to be as irrelevant as MSU? You don't think things through very well.
