As Jeff Lasky said, there's no better sound in the whole world than 6,000+ silent griz fans.

After the game, through out the night, his voice came back on the air (here in Bozeman) and stated the score by both the men and lady's. Awesome stuff.

nothing better than hearing that sad grizzly color guy on tv, having to concede to the cats. I still hate that guys voice, but last night it was nice to actually hear silience from him about how good grizzly athletics are. He still is the most bias color guy in the state of montana.

At least you guys still have important sports like rodeo and basketball to fall back on.............once a decade.

I find it funny you post that Alpha, i thought you of all people on this board like a college team for all the sports. Griz fans try to find a way to down grade other sports like basketball, track, and yes even rodeo. Am I wrong, but does this suggest griz fans only like the the griz (i mean football program) because they win? Does it mean they like the footballl program because they think the football atmosphere in Missoula is like the holy heavens and liking any other sport in Missoula would be against their faith. Give me a break I like all the sports at Bozeman, even girls basketball which is hard to watch at any level. The point being most griz fans say what you just wrote, and it always confuses me and reinforces my idea that most griz fans are bandwagon riders.

Can someone please translate hi-line's post. I only took one year of Gibberish in high school and I don't remember enough of it to make one bit of sense out of his post.

Your correct in two of your points.

First, yes football is the only sport that counts, for me and many others. I couldnt tell you a track, tennis, rodeo, soccer, etc player on either MSU or UM for the last 30 years and I bet I couldnt come up with 10 BB players men or women. Football is the 2nd best game in this country and its the only one that I give a dman about in Montana.

Second, yes most Gris "fans" are bandwagon. You can tell this by the way polls are conducted on eGriz or the CS board. Every time there is a Best player of all time poll there is RARELY a player mentioned before 2000. I followed the Griz/Huskers in the 80's when I was in high school. I only went to a couple games until Dickenson went to UM. I loved watching Dave play in high school and missed very few games when he was at UM. Since then I follow the Griz a lot more closely until recent years when Hauck destroyed almost everything I liked about college football.

There are so many people that go to Griz games every week and ACT like the biggest fans in the world but they cant even tell you another players name other than the QB and the star WR. I have a bunch of clients in Msla that have moved here in the last 5-10 years and they become Griz fans because that what you do in Missoula, grab on to a winner because frankly nothing else in that town is worth a fu*k starting with the city government and most of the liberal co*cksuckers that keep voting to be losers in the states eyes. These are the same people that raise their kids to be pussies and it shows when they play high school sports. Missoula kids are SOFT loo at their football teams the last 30 years.
