UM student Sean Schilke encouraged senators to adopt a sunset on the fee increase and sophmore Michael Orford would like more emphasis placed on academics.
"In 1980, when the Griz were not a successful team at all, there was not as much crime and vandalism downtown," he said. "Having a good sports team is bad for society. I'm not opposed to football; I'm opposed to a winning football team."

How many death threats has he received so far? That probably didn't go over very well in Grizville. He's completely out of line anyways. There have been plenty of stupid stunts pulled by non-athelete students at both schools in the past 30 years, but we don't hear much about them simply because they aren't under the same microscope as atheletes are. Remember the drug ring busted up in the towers at MSU a couple years back? That was crazy. NOT a smart move on his part to say something like that. That opinion is best kept to yourself. #-o

That is one of the most bizarre attempts at logic I have heard so far today. Top 5, anyway.
