I love it when idiots post this record because it demonstrates they are complete morons. Take a look at the record. Much of the disparity came in the first half of the 20th century, when of course MSU was still a small agricultural college and the University was a considerably larger school. In fact, during the portion of the century, UM was actually MSU. It would be similar to MSU fans running around like the typical Griz moron and bragging about a superior record against Carroll College or Western. If you have the ability, because perhaps you are just too stupid, look at the record in the modern ERA and you will find that it is much closer like most rivalry. But then again, expecting a Griz fan to have that intellectual ability is probably asking too much.

Oh and BTW, the only game that counts was the last one, and you lost so live with it loser.......................

Montana still owns the better record in the modern era. Deal with it. You don't get to take away losses simply because your school didn't have as many students; Bottom line: 69-36-5

Yes, it’s a fact.  So is the fact that UM was NCAA (in the same conf that is now the PAC 12), while MSU was NAIA for most of the 1897 to 1962 part of this series.  UM was 42-15-5 from ’97 to ’62.  It’s 27-21 since. 
 
And it’s also a fact that you’re a welch. 

Here let me do the math for you moron. Since 1950 (what is considered the modern ERA of college football, the record is 35-26, wow that is just a landslide. What is even more interesting is that since 1956, MSU's first National Championship, it is 29-26. Wow, even more of a landslide for the idiots from UM. Yeah, this is really a one-sided rivarly. If I was you, I would keep acting like most Jump on the Band Wagon Griz fans and go around bragging like an idiot.

So UM was in the PAC-12 (PCC) and failed there.  Went to the MWC (Mountain States) and failed there.  Went to the Big Sky and failed there from 63-68, so they cheated to be good (Swartout 69-70), got caught (failed at cheating) and finally did something in the late 80s. 
 
Now they want to go back to the big ranks and join the WAC.  Hey, who knows, maybe they got it right this time.
