Let's not go here....

I think anyone would be extremely hard-pressed to point to one Griz win in the last 10 years in which luck resulted in a win for the Griz.
That said, I also wouldn't say the Cats got lucky yesterday; fortunate, yes. But not lucky.
Bobcats win today they will go to National Championship

Total luck. Skill had nothing to do with it.

I don't think any of these posts are really smack, but this thread will quickly become a pissing match of what is luck vs. what isn't luck and isn't really related to the topic at hand so I moved it to keep the thread on track. You can all debate the Luck/Not Luck thing here.

Thanks RTB. Probably a wise decision.
So, I'm still waiting on specifics from either kk or touch. Can either of you point to even ONE game the GRIZ won due to luck?? You both seem to be adamant that that's the case, so I'm simply asking for one example to support your claim. Pretty easy request, no?

Good teams make their own luck if that is what you want to call it. Cats are a good team. Griz have been a good team for 25 years. Did they squeak out wins at times, yes. Lucky to do so? Maybe, but like I said above--good teams do that.

Off the top of my head, I think we needed blocked FG's on the last play of the game in consecutive weeks back in 2004 (on the road in Cheney, at home against ISU) in order to win. That season culminated in a trip to Chatty. Was it excellent special teams play? Yes. But also pretty fortunate.

Bingo, spot on.

Talent tends to breed "luck". I would say the Griz have been "lucky" at the end of games much more often than ISU. At least part of that has to be attributed to having superior talent. Take last weeks game against NH. Was there some luck involved in the Cats victory???? Hell yes. But at the end of the game, few would argue the fact that the more talented team won the game.
Luck comes into play in EVERY sport. But Tiger Woods is going to get a "lucky bounce" into the hole a lot more often than me. That's mostly due the fact that those damn balls rarely get a "lucky bounce" out of the water!

Yes it seems I always buy golf balls that are attracted magnetically to water.

I've found that the yellow ones are at least easier to spot on the bottom of the ponds!!
