History only counts if your a Griz (i.e. The Griz reminiscing about there 1995 championship team anniversary on opening game this year). That is ancient history people! (at least according to Griz fansEl_Gato wrote:Let me see if I have this straight, dumbnoclass2002:
You will take credit for Griz wins as far back as 1897 but the Cats National Championships in 1956, 1976, & 1984 don't count?
Can you say hypocrite? (I doubt it)
What was the score LAST YEAR?catatac wrote:Good point UMclass, and thanks for sharing the history. After we put the hurt on you in Bozeman again this year, I'm sure the celebration will be short lived because we'll all be thinking back to the years we lost to you. Dang It!
You're right, we should probably just focus on the last 20 years or so.El_Gato wrote:Let me see if I have this straight, dumbnoclass2002:

History comforts the weak.
Conceding already, Gato? C'mon; I don't think the Cats are going to be *that* bad in '05, are they?El_Gato wrote:...and yes, your team possesses the Great Divide trophy (I think that's what they call it) as proof of your win in '05.
eg wasnt it '04??Grizlaw wrote:Conceding already, Gato? C'mon; I don't think the Cats are going to be *that* bad in '05, are they?El_Gato wrote:...and yes, your team possesses the Great Divide trophy (I think that's what they call it) as proof of your win in '05.
Uh, reread the posts genius. I was the one who posted the entire series history. You were the one who suggested we focus on the more recent past, which I did by suggesting looking at the last twenty years. You then decided that you didn't like that. And so you arbitrarily selected a period of time in which the record favors you.El_Gato wrote:
The point? EVERYTHING in the past is history, griz jerks. The last 20 years are no different than the 30 year span I noted above; THEY'RE BOTH IN THE PAST. Your last 20 years isn't better/worse than '56-'85 just because it's more recent.
Using your logic, dumbnoclass, the only thing that really matters is the last game
