Pretty impressive!

The Griz are ranked fairly high in many statistics on ncaasports.com
Scoring Offense..............................#21.........79.1 Points Per Game
Field-Goal Percentage.....................#4..........50.0%
Three-Point Field-Goal Percentage..#39.........38.3%
Free-Throw Percentage...................#37.........73.5%
Assists Per Game............................#12.........17.9 Assists per game

And then of course, there is Andrew Strait, who is ranked #5 in the country in FG%. He is shooting 64.3% from the field.

Very impressive indeed :) I can't wait for Saturday!

who cares?

MSU led the entire country in free throw percentage six or seven years ago, but I'm sure you weren't aware of that, nor do you care. The point is...why are we supposed to give a crap about anything other than who wins the games?

ya...nice sticky! this sta means nothing. good f.g.%! besides duke and florida, (2nd and 6th in the nation) you guys are chilling with the 31st, and 64th team in the country, with you sitting at 100. for the record, 100 for a big sky team is pretty decent. but your stats aren't! if anything, you lose credibility with these stats. anyone who knows college ball knows how the top 10 in most categories end up. swilly, i gave you too much credit. heres a question...what do northeastern university, marist university, oral roberts university, loyola md. university, eastern tennessee state university, and louisiana tech university all have in common? well, they have the nations top blocker, assiter, free-thrower, 3-pointer, stealer, and rebounder respectively. funny i dont seee any duke, or uconn, or villanove, or tennesse, or gonzaga or illinois, or etc. etc. etc. good stat swill, but they mean nothing. your being 4th in field goal is just as cool, and more importantly, just as significant as msu being 3rd in the country in 3 pointers made. fun stat, but doesn't win games. we are in some sweet company in that stat with troy, west virginia, samford, and cambell. but i'll save the bragging for relevant things!

I'd shoot 64% too if I shot from within 5 feet every shot.

Too bad you aren't even in first place in one of the lesser DI conferences.

Swilly,

I could care less about your frivolous stats and GPA inquiries, but I love the fact that someone is trying to revive this hardwood rivalry on egriz and Bobcat Nation. Keep up the good work Swilly!

Basketball has become second rate at both schools, and that is not how it was when I was going to MSU. Basketball used to be king, then again, our coach had a heart beat 10+ years ago. At least at UM, Krysko has breathed life into a dead program.

By the way, Cats are peaking... Griz are tailing.
MSU - 79
UM - 72

The fact is that it is good to lose some games when we did. You see, being from UM and Missoula means that we sometimes lose our ability to relate to the rest of the world. That's because when you have been blessed to be a part of The Flagship of The Big Sky, nestled in the athletic, academic and cultural capital of Montana, you become spoiled by the greatness. Therefore, you are bound to lose a game or two that you should win because you are blinded by the euphoria that comes from being associated with UM's inherent greatness. But those unexpected losses will cause our guys to refocus for the stretch run, beat bobcat, take the Big Sky regular season crowd, host and win the tourney, go to March Madness and make a 'Glory Road/Hoosiers' style run to the championship!

Damn, UM is great!

Finally somebody gets the point of the post, its Cat/Griz week people, that means even the little attempt at smack is worth it. Basketball has become second rate to football, and that is why I dont normally talk about football. Its going to be a heck of a game on saturday...

My prediction

Griz --- 87

Cats --- 6

I swear, you kitty guys think you won the Super Bowl. I can't wait until next November when we put the boots to you so you can quit the "16-6" thing.

It's basketball season, let's talk hoops. How's your ladies (I use that term loosely, very loosely  ) team doing? Oh, and have UM and MSU played yet in mens hoops? Oh, yeah, kicked your asses IN Bozo.
