Many Griz fans were pumped to include Sean O’Malley in their festivities during their recent home game. Several online news sources have reported, that O’Malley feels that he has a pass to cheat on his wife as he financially supports her.

The guy is a controversial figure for sure - and not in a good way. Not someone I would want as a representative of the university.

There was a tweet from Sean Chambers saying something like, "I hope Suga gets knocked out in his next fight" or something like that. Several Grizzly fans lost their **** over that and called Sean and our program trash. Personally I love the passion, and yes if you support the dark pink, you're no friend of any Bobcats. All told, ya O'malley can be a DB, but I respect the way he works and fights.

It's awesome O'Malley is doing so well on a national stage.

Lots of stories around Helena about how big of a punk he was growing up. It's a great thing he picked up MMA.

I believe his younger brother Danny went to UM and they are tight with the Welnels.

Here’s what I know about almost all very high level combat sport athletes (primarily wrestlers and MMA guys): They are almost all a bit crazy. You gotta be to work that hard and be that tough. I was a college wrestler and coached a ton…I’ve been around enough of the top level guys via camps and my networks to have witnessed the common thread in all of them. What they do to be at that level is almost insane. And if they have that screw a bit loose to do that, it’s also more likely to find themselves in controversy as that insanity isn’t an easy switch to turn off. Meaning sometimes less-than-ideal decisions are made. Nature of the beast.
I’ll continue to root for O’Malley. He’s a pretty decent guy from what I understand.

I had the same thought honestly, but…Cat fan on the Cat forum, so I just..didn’t. Gotta admit I was a bit jealous of UM with O’Malley. He must have just got knocked silly at some point and then the maroon matched his hair of the day and here we are

UFC fighter and current bantamweight champion. Most people wouldn’t know who he is unless you follow UFC.
