it's common knowledge that the griz faithful is a little "out there". butafter glancing over there sight this morning, i came across a doozy! their backfield this year of lex hilliard and reggie bradshaw is being compared to.............................

reggie BUSH and lendale white from usc!

i dont know why i am so surprised, as the griz team is always been considered the next usc, but this should make for some very interesting talk now, and even more midway through the season! of course, we really dont even have to play this season right? we can't compete with usc! :D

This makes sense, as long as the field is dry of course.

What a moron. Did you even read the posts? They're not being compared in quality to USC's backfield in any manner whatsoever. They're being compared in style (as in, one bigger back, one quicker back).

And where is everyone screaming "SMACK BOARD!! SMACK BOARD!!" after WTG's post???

Fourth rate at what? Definitely not education. Easily the highest rated institution in this state. Tulsa has one of the largest endowments for education, outside of the Ivies, among private institutions (approx. $1 billion). That is a lot of money when the enrollment is around 4,000 students.

Athletics? Well maybe third rate. OSU and OU are obviously the big dogs. I'd say we are third.

You do care Swilly. This is the second time you have mentioned the school in threads that do not pertain to TU. Why do you continually talk about things which you do not know? Someday you will regret your childish ways.

PS - If you enjoy basketball as much as you profess, you would definitely know who Tulsa is.

9-13? 4-5? In a conference that is some what weak outside of memphis and UAB UTEP and Houston. I think the Cats could beat the rest of those teams in the C-USA. I meant to say 3rd rate but 4th just sounded better.

Did a little calculation and it looks like even tho Memphis, UTEP, Houston, and UAB are in the top in the RPI, the C-USA still only averages 172 in the RPI. They have 6 teams in the upper 200's....

Big Sky average RPI 177
C-USA average RPI 172

Says alot Tulsa being at the bottom of that conference...

I wasn't necessarily referring to this year. Did my statement say anything about this year? NO.

Look into some history young man.

No, no. Plenty of other teams have history and tradition. Just no others in the Big Sky.

NO! were they being compared? YEP. wait a minute. i thought griz fans were too classy to throw out words like moron. guess not. anyway, hope your "thunder and lightning" (wow i read all the posts) and your (bush and whites) pan out. on the plus side for mens hoops, we have the next baron davis(right swilly?) because we have a recruit who was born in california. which is great for our football program. we also have the next reggie bush(i know he's already going to um) because we have a football recruit born on california.
