I may need a new NFL team

Post by UMclassof2002 » Mon May 01, 2006 10:56 am

I feel like the Seahawks have stabbed me in the heart.

On the plus side they just signed Tom Rouen a few weeks ago, so Lulay probably has 0.0% chance of making the squad.

As a griz fan, jumping to another team's bandwagon shouldn't be so hard.........

FYI for Jagur, Tom Rouen is the 'Hawks' punter

He's lighting up Europe. We'll see if TL even finds the light switch.

Europe vs the NFL.......hmmm. Nice try, albeit a pathetic one, to smack TL.

Really the best you can hope for Travis is the Seahawks like him keep him on as #3, or Practice squad and then he will get to play in NFL-Euro next year. Truth be told he's a year behing Craig.

Just because he signed a FAC doesn't mean he's stayin'. I agree with Jag. He's just a year behind Craig in development.

We'll just have to wait and see about that. Truth be told - he may not make the Seattle roster (doubtful) - or he may end up being 2nd string. He's incredibly smart, and I have a feeling he'll be staying on that team... :)

Nice try, albeit a pathetic one

what part of he's not playing NFL in the US do you not understand?

I suppose you also think that just because the NBA has a developmental league that they are also playing in what we all know as the NBA.

Loyal, by that logic, TL isn't playing in the NFL either. I certainly haven't seen him on any Sundays. They are both signed by NFL teams. At this point, I'd say they're even, except that Craig is making a name for himself and TL hasn't put his jock on yet. Not saying TLwon't be great, but he's certainly not ahead of where Craig is.

So, a contract inked with the Seahawks doesn't mean he's not on the team?

It makes sense to say they are even at this point. However, how I look at it is that Ochs has been given the chance (as I"m sure he will still continue to be given as such) to play in the NFL (in the US league, that is) and TL is just starting starting to have the chance. Experience-wise is a no brainer as Ochs has been in the system for a greater time. I could even understand why he might be classified as being "ahead" in that sense.

My take is that a few griz fans on here will do anything in their capacity to minimize what Lulay has done throughout his career and now with his latest opportunity. It just gets old to read such asinine statements.
