Well it comes up enough- lets hear why.
I really want to know what cat fans think.

You are wrong.crazycat wrote:You're probably just posing this question to remind everyone that UM made the POs and MSU didn't. I think this 'no playoffs-thing' started the second MSU had UM beat last year. I admit it's a good way to mask getting beat, but it's tired.
I agree, although ANY win in the 4 L's would have probably got the cats in, the Portland State one was a killer. Esp Since the comittee looked at the sched and saw UM and EWU blast PSU.bozbobcat wrote:The loss to Portland State did us in last year. The loss to Cal Poly hurt in a head-to-head at-large choice, but a win at PSU would have taken the Cats conference record to 6-1 and would cause us to win the conference outright. A win at EWU would have done the same, but it didn't happen. If the Cats were to have won at OSU, which they almost did, that would have been a for-sure lock. But still, I think the PSU loss was the biggest one.
Agreed. The PSU game was really the only game the defense took off. One last stop is all we needed............Go Scats Go wrote:I agree, although ANY win in the 4 L's would have probably got the cats in, the Portland State one was a killer. Dude lighten up- your calling names really shows how classless you are. Im keeping it very civil- I wish you would try to do the same...couloir41 wrote:here's a revelation for everyone...we did not go to the playoffs because we lost too many games...

It's amazing that Griz fans have to resort to pointing out Bobcat failures to make their own pathetic season look better.
It's obvious who cares. As stated this is probably GSG's way of getting his jollies. Ho-hum. Fortunately most Griz fans aren't like this. There are a few that couldn't wait to point out that MSU didn't make the playoffs, because that was all they had on us last year. If MSU had made the playoffs, then it would've been something else. Like, "UM got a home game and MSU didn't" with all the digs about how bigger facility, better fans get home playoff games. Blah, blah, blah. Speaking of things that come up enough. It's the same old, tired, worn out blather with a slightly different twist.1BadBobcat wrote:Who cares? The only to say is that we didn't make it and to move on. It does no good dwelling on the past. every now and then, as much as i hate too, but i have to stick up for a griz...even if it's scats and i think he could try harder not to always be an ass. but, you guys wanna know who cares? we do! otherwise there would be no talk of 16-6. and there would be absolutly no playoff talk from last year. every day you can read a post from a cat fan trying to justify why the cats didn't get in and the griz did. then a griz asks a question, and all of a sudden no bobcat fan cares about last year. kinda funny. cats didn't get in because we lost too many games. griz got in. cats beat the griz. great. maybe nect year we'll beat the griz AND get in the playoffs. i'm with scats on this one. we obviously care otherwise we would never use the term 16-6, or 3 of 4! unless we start getting selective memory like our griz friends. p.s. - scats i've had your back twice now, repay me by not always intentionally trying to be a dick...it gets tired. I really, truly care about Bobcat football. And it pains me to have the season we did last year and not make it to the playoffs. But that was last November! I can see discussing it for a few weeks or a couple of months. But last year's season was over 6 months ago! Time to move on and give this year's team and players the attention they deserve. Also, I am gonna have to go out on a limb and the Griz fans some props on their playoff talk. We Cat fans are so focused on 16-6 they we can't see the bigger picture. Yeah, 20 years ago the highlight of either team was to beat the cross-state rival. But 1-AA has become much bigger than that now and gets far more publicity nationwide. The goal is no longer to just have a good record and beat your arch-enemy. It's to make a run in the playoffs and take a shot at at title. Man, I love beating the the Griz and I did take more than my fair share of crap the past 20 years while they were beating our tails. But I am not gonna dwell on 16-6 and call it a successful year. We had the team last year to go into the playoffs and it didn't happen. Major disappointment. Our program has grown to a level where beating the Griz should no longer make our year, but it should just be another notch in the holster on our way to the national title.whitetrashgriz wrote:every now and then, as much as i hate too, but i have to stick up for a griz...even if it's scats and i think he could try harder not to always be an ass. but, you guys wanna know who cares? we do! otherwise there would be no talk of 16-6. and there would be absolutly no playoff talk from last year. every day you can read a post from a cat fan trying to justify why the cats didn't get in and the griz did. then a griz asks a question, and all of a sudden no bobcat fan cares about last year. kinda funny. cats didn't get in because we lost too many games. griz got in. cats beat the griz. great. maybe nect year we'll beat the griz AND get in the playoffs. i'm with scats on this one. we obviously care otherwise we would never use the term 16-6, or 3 of 4! unless we start getting selective memory like our griz friends. p.s. - scats i've had your back twice now, repay me by not always intentionally trying to be a dick...it gets tired. I could not agree more. One win does not make a season. I am old enough to remember the 70's and 80's when neither team (usually) or at least the Griz only cared about winning one game. It really was not very much fun being a fan. It was so bad I sometimes wondered why the Griz played the other 9 or 10 games- Who cared anyways.1BadBobcat wrote:I really, truly care about Bobcat football.
