What do you Cat fans think?

If Kramer loses to the Griz this year, do you want him to sign the 3 year contract extension? Did he already sign it?

Without a doubt, we will keep the Big Human.

I think a better question would be: WHEN the griz lose to the Cats this year, will UM offer a three year contract to Bobby?

I honestly think that we will sign Kramer to a 3 year after this. If you look at our depth right now we could be really good next year. This year we willl lose 2 O lineman 2 Wr on de we lose 1nt, fs, ss. We would be crazy to let him go now. He has a real good chance of making more BSC title contenders

You probably (overall) have one of the most talented teams in the Big Sky. With that being said, the 3 game slide this year is going to cost you a playoff game if you lose to the Griz. The loss to Chadron even further demoralizes this fact. I was just wondering what the Cat fans think about him if come Nov 18th there is a big L.

I think it is too early into his career to can him just yet. Yes we had some stupid coaching mistakes early in the season, but Kramer has turned the season around. I would think if we were to lose our next two he could be in deep but I just dont see that happening.

You understand that Hauck had the glory of ridding on Glenns coat tails for the first 3 years right!

I have a difficult time believing that anyone signing on as "the Bobcats suck" has a pure heart and honest motives asking the questions you have posed. Yes, we do have one of the most talented teams in the Big Sky, and it will remain so next year as well. It would take a series of injuries in the next two weeks to put the Cats behind the eight ball and cause an upset in Msla. That just is not going to happen.

A better question to ponder is Bobby Hauck's next career move; I believe that he is on the bubble, both in his own mind, and in the minds of many of the fans.

Too early in his career? Kramer already has the record for most career losses in the BSC!

Bobby will most likely this year move into 4th on the win list of Griz coaches. Next year he is almost assured of moving into 3rd on that list, and has a strong chance to move into 2nd behind Don Read after only 5 years.

There are several Griz fans that are not, never have been, and never will be happy with Bobby Hauck, but the only way I see him leaving is if he moves up, I don't see the U ever firing him.

I think it's a waste that the incredible talent running through Bozeman each year ultimately winds up being squandered on a 6-5 or 7-4 season. It's not fair to the players who chose the Cats over any other team because they believed in Kramer and his system. It's not fair to the loyal fans who've endured these letdowns time after time and continue to support the coaching staff.

Yes, the mistakes were made early on and seem to have been corrected, for the most part (the roll punt seems to have been addressed in numerous other threads). HOWEVER, there are numerous other teams in every division of college football with high expectations that did not have one foot in the grave after week 4 for failing to live up to expectations; think Ohio State, Michigan, the Fizzlies, Carroll, etc. There are numerous teams that can put away an opponent in the third quarter.

I have a great deal of respect for Kramer after suspending LeBlanc for violating team rules (or whatever he did). That's got to be a bitter pill to swallow knowing how badly LeBlanc is needed on the field over this crucial stretch of games late in the season. I think Kramer showed a great deal of integrity and should be praised for setting an example and a high standard. HOWEVER, the ultimate barometer is results, which is an area that has been lacking.

Bobby Hauck is the most overrated coach of the post Read era. If he moves up, he will prove that, like Dennehy and Glenn before him, you don't have to be a great coach when you take over a top program. When he leaves, he will go by the wayside as Dennehy did and Glenn is about to. The biggest difference is that Dennehy and Glenn are both classy individuals. Bobbie is a poor winner and a worse loser.

If he loses to CP and when he loses to the Cats and in the first round of the playoffs, he won't be asked back.

Although there are Hauck haters out there, he isn't the problem with our coaching staff. Our OC continues to squander our talent on offense, and most people feel that he just isn't the man for the job. For reasons unknown to me, he continues to be kept on.

I really hate it when the morale of my facts suffers.

This is (presumably) from a liberal arts school student. But what would I know? I'm just a dopey mathematician.

Time will tell. But he's 8-1 with his own recruits, and personally, I like our chances at 10-1 with a top 2 seed, and a very good opportunity to go to Nooga.

So my question is this: When exactly does Hauck get credit for what Hauck is doing? This year's success is being done almost exclusively with his guys, his recruits. If he wins a NC will he get respect? What will it take, exaclty?

College football isn't like the pros. You can't just let the program run itself, because the kids creating the success you inherited are gone faster than you can say "Chattanooga". But I suspect that cat fans will never respect BH, and you know, I can certainly live with that. In the meantime, I'll continue toasting Hauck as I'm quaffing my beer in a Tennessee bar in mid December.
