Lets see, anything else we left out? 7) Host a playoff game this year ---> next on the menu.

wooo woooo WOOOO....I might have a problem with #5. I took a Cat friend to a Griz game a couple of years ago (right before the streak ended) and as we walked up to the tailgates, his exact words were "God, even your tailgates are better than ours!". Have they gotten that much better in the last couple of years?

They've gotten MUCH better and I've had an absolute blast the past 2 weekends. However, the Griz still have an overall better gameday atmoshpere. We're narrowing the gap though!!! 8)

If only CTOWM would lend us a hand and party like a rock star with us, thay may get us over the hump...

Yes CTOWM it has improved immensely but I don't know if I would say better that yours. How about we call this one a draw?

I think the big monkey we reeealllly need to shake this year is beating NAU at home. Haven't done that since 1734 or something...

1. Kramer is the one who said winning in a dome was a problem for the cats, talk to him, because the smack started from his comments.
2. Mostly cat fans said winning homecoming was a problem.
3. Ok, I'll give ya that one.
4. I'll give ya that one, but we'll see. Sounds like MSU is heading in the right direction though.
5. Don't really know who said what here.

Wow, 12000 fans, that's impressive. I mean, it's not like the Griz average twice that...oh wait, they do. Nevermind.

Yep - if we continue to improve, start making the playoffs consistently, host and win some playoff games, we, too will need to add seats and accomodate several thousand bandwagon fans that have virtually no affiliation with the university - like the Griz have now. Nothing really wrong with that because the revenue is nice, but don't kid youselves by thinking that even half of those fans would show up of you had a couple dismal seasons. They are fans because they want to be aligned with a winning team and the Griz have been a winning team lately.

No affiliation with the University at all :) A friend and I were talking about that last week ... I honestly know a TON of Griz fans that don't know who Don Reid is. Enough said on that.

Our team will only be better next year and the numbers will keep coming in. I know, its a Griz fans worst nightmare. Just a hint: See any difference in the exposure/coverage of the Cats these past 2-3 years? People know who they are, and Griz fans (ALL OF THEM) are scared AGAIN on what they see from our team this year.

I LIKE OUR CHANCES!

Wildrat prove that statment. Give me the phone # of 2 Griz fans that don't know who Papa Bear is. I don't believe you.

You and everybody should get together and take generalization 101.

Okay, TONS was the wrong word. But I like testing the Griz fans I meet in the bars on their knowledge of the team. Try it out sometime (away from the bars in Missoula) and see how far you get? I have honestly had 2-3 Griz fans not know who he was? There are a LOT of Griz fans that buy the gear that don't know anything about the team/history/program. I do it as a little hobby when I go to the bars on all the Griz fans I meet :)

You know? Like the people that wear the Silver and Black Raiders stuff because they think their bad? Those types :)

If you'd care to see just how fickle Griz fans are, let's go back a few years, shall we?

Remember the packed houses at the Adams Center when Montgomery was there? Griz basketball was the IN thing!

These days the Griz men are routinely outdrawn by the Lady Griz and even by some High School teams!

A couple of 6-5 seasons (or worse) and the Denny Dome will look like a morgue. I'm not about to predict when that will happen, but it will someday, like these things always do, and it will be entertaining to observe. We've done the whole rags-to-riches-to-rags thing, and most of us still rooting for our Cats will ALWAYS be there. The Great Grizzly "Thinning Out" is coming...

There are probably lots of beer chugging "fans" at bobcat games who don't know who Sonny Holland or Peter Fields are, as well. What's the point? There's no minimum IQ or diploma requiremed for true fans of american football.
