TV coverage is a great recruiting tool to get the best Montana kids. Oh wait...my bad, Bobcats don't recruit Montana kids. Never mind.

Give me a break, just where did the griz get their QB,RB, and WR that were the keys to beating us last week, just what I thought not Montana.

TV is not a huge issue from recruiting standpoint because the two games are on at the same time. Kids would make a choice anyway on which one to watch.

Hopefully, the Griz announcers will at least give some updates and acknowledgment of the fact that the Cats are playing.

Finally, is the adjective you use after being on a 10, 15 or 20 game losing streak.

I'm just saying that when things don't go the way of the griz fans, the griz fans go away. Go argue semantics with one of the UM team lawyers, would you?

Now get back on topic before we cause another split thread for chrissakes!

THINGS are definitely going the Griz way. GRIZ are seated No. 2 in the Playoffs. GRIZ have made the playoffs for a record 14th consecutive year. GRIZ have won or shared 9 consecutive BSC Championships. GRIZ have sold a I-AA record of nearly 19,000 tickets for a 1st round playoff game. GRIZ are on TV.

GRIZ fans stand behind the program through good and bad. I will have to admit one thing though. The GRIZ have won 8 or more games every year since 1993. The last time the Griz won fewer than 8 games was 1992. So, it has been a long time since a Griz fan has stood in the shoes of where a Cat fan stands today.

Please show some manners and respect for a great program.

Apparently all of the previous posts in this thread contain no Smack.

Smack is obviously in the eyes of the beholder.

Say something bad about Griz program. Nope. That aint smack. Put down Griz fans. That ain't smack either.

Smack is when you say something positive about the Griz on Bobcat Nation. Now that's smack.

I explained the difference between smack and real posts to you once already in the email exchange we had. Apparently you are a slow learner. So as a favor, I will explain it to you once again.

It has nothing to do with saying "something bad" about the Cats or something good about the Griz. It's about saying things on the board that are intended to flame the opponents and start a fight instead of having a real conversation.

You can say critical things, as long as there is a valid point you are making.

But some posters, and Air Griz seems firmly in this camp, have no reason for being on this board other than to flame people.

If you had a motivation to get along with the Bobcat posters and use the Bobcat forum to exchange information and learn new things, this concept wouldn't seem so foreign to you.

Isn't the place to say positive things about the Jizz at a message board called eGriz?

Exactly, henceforth the invasion of newbie friz hairball regurgitates, armed with the same tired quips and talking points we endure every time the goin is good for the Griz.

Seems we can't have a post on here where some grizidiot doesn't chime in with a dumbass remark about how many MT kids you guys start on offense (often an inflated number that doesn't make any sense, like 15); or how nice your stadium is, which means that any other stadium, especially ours, is an utter craphole.

I know I fueled the smack fire, but it just seems to me that the maturity level of our new griz visitors needs a serious upgrade. At least realize where the smack forum is.

If the Cats would have kept the lead and not had one unfortunate play with blown coverage last week none of these lamers would be here. In fact, chances are, once the football season is over none of these lamers will be here anyway. So I'm just begging all of them to realize that they aren't the first troglodite to learn to surf the net over from grizville, no matter how clever they think they are. Spare us the lame B.S.

You don't see us crappin' on eGriz unless it's in the Smack forum or in defense of a 'Cat cheapshot. Most of the griz posters here afford the same courtesy. Even some notorious past troublemakers are now valuable griz contributors to the site (like you, EGC  ). Newbies should look to you and the other long time griz posters as vaunted examples of proper behavior.

Okay, I'm done now. Time for a sandwich!

Dear Mr. BAC:

Please review the foregoing quote. Then read the substance of my original post. The purpose of my original post was to DEFEND the integrity of the Griz fans. I had engaged in no Smack prior to the post in which some Cat fan impugnes our allegiance and integrity. The purpose was not to inflame but rather to defend - although it certainly inflamed you enough to remove my post.

Interestingly, the partial thread was not removed from Bobcat Athletics (even though it inflamed Griz fans) until you read a defensive response that INFLAMED you.

Whatever.

By the way -thanks for the personal attacks. You really are quite the moderator.

You called me Stalin in an email. You started the "personal attacks" thing.

And now it's on the smack board, so I am well within my right to question your learning ability when you repeatedly make the same accusations of bias on my part.

I moved the entire part of the thread that went on tangent in response to the smack post ... including your "defense" of the Griz. That is how we do things on this board. I don't have the time, patience or interest to parse the thread to pull out just the smack parts and then try to let people figure out how the thread segued to something completely off-topic.

And Airgriz, please show me where, earlier in that thread, there was anything that was flaming. Show me where YOU would have drawn the flaming line on that thread, as you repeatedly suggest that I only drew the line based on my Bobcat bias. I am curious to hear what in that thread consituted smack to you.
