Friz Stay In DennyDome Next Week

Post by Bigtime75 » Sat Nov 27, 2004 9:09 pm

Pretty unbelievable how things are shaking out in IAA. If you would have told me three weeks ago that the Friz would dismantle us and then "eviscerate" the top defense in IAA the next week while acquiring home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, I would have set you up with a drool cup and sent you away on the short bus. With EWU beating the SIU and NH beating GSU, our crimson colored bretheren not only get another game next week in Wash-Griz, they are assured home-field through the Semi-finals IF they keep winning.

As much as I hate to admit it, the Griz are looking like a completely different and superior team right now and with the way things have settled, I would not be at all suprised to see them in the finals.

One more thing, as I have been saying all year, the Jizz game today proved that Lex Hilliard is the most talented RB in the Big Sky, perhaps one of the top in the nation. The kid absolutely shredded the #1 run defense in the nation. Looked like a man among boys today, the Big Sky hasn't seen this explosive of a running back in long time...

You said it bigtime! Lex Hilliard was simply incredible today, there were times where he broke atleast three or four tackles before busting into a hole the size of Berkely pit!

We Griz fans are excited but we sure won't get ahead of ourselves. Taking it one game at a time. But with UNH beating Georgia Southern today, and our Big Sky bretheren knocking off the #1 seed, things are starting to fall into place.

One game/week at a time though.

GO GRIZ!!

Good news for Eastern, it looks like they will be playing in Cheney next weekend. From what I have gathered over the course of the year, it looks like Sammy Houston is a totally different team on the road. Boy, Eastern looks tough right now. I will be rooting for New Hampshire next week, although I have to think logically that the griz will win. If it plays out, I would enjoy watching the rematch between UM and Eastern - and I will be sitting in the stands with the Eastern folks.

Well then, once again you'll be sitting in the wrong side of the stadium. Unless we stumble, we are going to be hard to beat at home.

Just wondering why E dub would be playing at home in Cheney. I don't think they could put up much of a bid could they? Maybe NH can't either I don't know.

Planning ahead, I too will be heading to Missoula for a match up between two Big Sky teams. How many times has that happened? I don't know, but its something I wouldn't miss. I was at Wash/Griz on Saturday for the demon slaying and I have to admit, they played great football from the beginning. The Griz are a premier team, and they always find a way to win. Good Luck to them again this weekend. I can't go up, and as I need to partake in the Christmas Stroll, but at least I can get the channel on the satellite.
