This interview was midway through the season; guess reality hit in due to the costs involved. Aren't they hurting pretty bad as far as Title 1X compliance...not that I really care a whole lot but it would be kind of nice to be informed and I don't want to spend my valuable time going into the NCAA site!

I don't know that they are necessarily hurting on Title IX compliance right now, I took it that he was more talking to the fact that going to I-A adds 22 (I think that is right) FB scholarships that have to be added on the other side as well.

MONTANA FOOTBALL

Post by hoags11 » Thu Dec 16, 2004 11:16 am

I feel I have a unique view on the Cat Griz situation. I was raised in Missoula but went to MSU to study Exercise Science. I grew up a Griz fan but turned into a Bobcat fan when the university demanded $2000 every semester for me to continue to attend classes.

I turely am a fan of MONTANA football. Whether its the Bobcats or the Griz. The only day I chose sides is Cat/Griz. On that day I am a Bobcat fan. But every other day I want the Cats and the Griz both to win!! Think about it! If the cats and the griz win every Big Sky Game every year, the CAT/GRIZ game is the Big Sky Chipper. Nothing could be better for Two schools!!!

I also want people that live in Montana still (lucky SOBs) that the passion for Cat and Griz football is incredible around the country. I attended a Satilite game in Sacramento, CA this year and had a great time. I also went to Watch the Bobcat/Sac State game where I ran into at least 50 people that I attended MSU with. I need to tell everyone that there were more MSU fans in the stadium then Sac State fans. Also, this past weekend a friend and I were skiing at Heavenly Tahoe where we asked the bartender (Ironically from Bozeman) to turn the TV to Watch the Griz game and he said no problem. Pretty soon we had several people around the TV watching the Griz.

I hope everyone can remember that the common tie that the Bobcats and the Griz have is they both Represent MONTANA and do it very well. With that I hope that All CAT and GRIZ fans are glued to the TV Friday night to watch the GRIZ chase another National championship!! Please watch how well these young men Represent the WHOLE state of MONTANA!!!!

Well put; I've sat on the Fizzlie sideline twice in my life--once in West Virgiania and in Choo Choo when they beat Furman without a healthy Louis Ivory...hope their lines are not too depleted as we became this year...
