Awesome! Way to go, Beau! I miss him already...With 10:40 to go, MSU led 71-41 and was in hot pursuit of its first 100-point night of the season before backing off.
By that point, many in the crowd were looking to the big screen for the much-closer televised Division I-AA championship football game between Montana and James Madison.
That lasted until MSU football player Beau Clark implored president Geoffrey Gamble and athletic director Peter Fields to rid the school's largest TV of all Grizzly presence.
Beau Clark - I'm so proud of you!!!

Why would MSU televise that during a home basketball game in the first place? Yeah, okay we were playing MSU-Northern, but it was still a home game. People came to watch MSU play basketball. NOT um PLAY FOOTBALL. Would the griz have televised us in the title game (a small stretch
) NOPE.
Great job BEAU CLARK. If you read these: you have been a class act the whole way. In my opinion, you epitomize what a BOBCAT should be. Thank you for four great years.

Montana State has a basketball team??MSU01 wrote:Ugh...I hope there weren't too many recruits there. Like someone else said, that was the smallest crowd for a men's BB game that I've seen in a looooong time.

Just kidding, I have been cheering for the Bobcat basketball team for my whole life(In fact it often was more important to me than football), but it is really hard to get excited about basketball this year. We might have a good team this year or next, but I really think we need a jolt to the program via a change at head coach. I think Mick has done a great job and led a pretty clean program all these years, but I am ready for something new. Sorry to those that side with Mick all the time, but I would love to see something change.

Time for me to go to bed; after last year's final "game" I recall Micky saying he was getting tired...if the fire is no longer there, it's time to call it a career. I remember how bad I felt for Cliff, and he was hurting, trying to stick it out. If Durham no longer feels the passion, perhaps...I hope jacu1 is not a harbinger of things to come with one of her posts about how the volleyball team could beat the BB team.
