Dear BCN
A teammate of someone very near and dear to me has been stricken with acute leukemia. He was playing hockey for the Kootenai Colts, a junior B team in the Spokane/Coeur D' Alene area. Please see link http://www.kootenaicolts.com/ for more detailed information. This young man's condition was so serious he had to undergo his first round of chemo in Spokane. His doctors have given him a window to travel home to Washington DC, but because the chemo has suppressed his immune system he cannot travel commercial. We are looking for a private airplane owner/pilot who can get this young man home for a reasonable cost. If they miss their window of opportunity he will have to undergo his second round of chemo in Spokane. As you can imagine, being away from home at this time is a tremendous stress to him and his family.
