Downtown Title Town
Downtown Portland-Memorial Coliseum
I've never been to Portland. I'd love to go see the tournament, but that's a long shot at this point. But anyway-I came across a bunch of photos of downtown Portland including the venue for the Big Sky tourney-Memorial Coliseum. Portland does look like a beautiful city.
Here's a question: If a tree falls in the forest and there's no one around, does it make a sound? If the Big Sky tournament happens in the middle of a big city...?

Pete "Hey trees, if one of you falls, do you guys hear it?"
Tree "Yea, Doug fell down last week, he wouldn't shut up about it!"
Doug "Oh sure, make fun of me, but would any of you help me!"
Oh Family Guy, oh so funny.

Portland Downtown is fun and a nice place. The Heroine bums kind of bother this boy from Montana but you get use to it.

Never mistake activity for accomplishment.

Portland IS a beautiful city. I've lived here for over 9 years now since graduating from MSU in '95 (Bay Area Cat and I graduated together). Portland is great in that it provides plenty of "big city" entertainment with a small city feel and it's close to the mountains. Lots of Montanans here as well. I can't imagine living anywhere else.
The rain can get old, but this winter has been extremely dry. It must have hit almost 70 today.
Although I obviously wanted the Cats to win the conference, I was actually excited to have the tourney coming to town. The problem is that it's the middle of next week. I'll be buried with work next week, so there's no way I can make it to any of the games. Wish they would have held it on a weekend.

CatFaninGA: Do you live in Cobb or Gwinnett County? (Just an assumption on my part). Two years ago, Marietta had a pretty impressive blood line starting five yet I don't think they took state. Wish I was there this time of year, but not for the basketball (I know what thread this is) because spring football, picture day, regional tournaments, River Street in Savannah...in other words, a 365 day vacation playground for an "older" Montanan that grew up with not much more than high school basketball to follow and the Cats, biology classes picking their flowers
Have you been down to any spring training?

I live in Fulton Co, north of downtown. About the only HS sport I follow is Parkview football, can't stand the Braves and their obnixious fans.Cat Grad wrote:CatFaninGA: Do you live in Cobb or Gwinnett County?
