Fort Collins - Colorado State University football coach Sonny Lubick completed his football coaching staff today with the appointment of his youngest son, Marc, to the position of wide receivers coach.
"When you look at all of the factors and all of the candidates, he really fit the profile that I was looking for," said the 12th-year Rams' coach. "He knows our system, he knows our coaches and is familiar with the student-athletes in our program. He is enthusiastic about having the opportunity to return to Colorado State and I know he will make a difference in our program."
Marc Lubick earned his bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science from CSU in 2001 after playing collegiate at Montana State University from 1997-99.
He was a defensive student assistant for his father's squad from 2000-01, and spent two seasons as a graduate assistant with the program, 2001-02 and worked with the team's wide receivers.
In 2003, Lubick was named a scouting assistant with the St. Louis Rams of the NFL, a position he held until joining Colorado State's coaching staff.
While in St. Louis, he worked with the team's defensive backs and participated in defensive staff and position meetings, as well as evaluating college and professional personnel.
He is expected to join the staff immediately.
