OK this blows me away! Not that I do not feel Durham deserves this BUT that it did not go to PSU's coach (can not think of his name right now). I mean traditionally this award always goes to the coach who wins the league for one for the other the PSU coach also turned around his program. For Durham to win this award really shows the respect he got for his accomplishments. He may not get the recognition from the Fans/alumni for what he did but some one noticed!!!

Tough to get rid of him now! His "Two year plan" better put the team into the big dance next year for sure. If it doesn't, then we fire him.

Or he could just rename it his "Five Year Plan" and hope we all forgot about the "Two Year Plan".

I tip my hat. I agree with mslacat, though, and thought PSU's coach would win going away.

I love the quote at the end of the story about how the team and coaches are still hurting from the loss and hungry for next year. This is the kind of talk I have been looking for from Mick. Great Year Mick. Now hold on to that fire and get it gone next year.

Seeings how Durham is not my favorite, I am pretty sure that I will not forget it. I am trying to forget last season already. But I will remember the "two year plan".

I want to congratulate Coach Durham on a wonderful accomplishment.....but I would have been much happier if we made the Dance and he didn't get the award. Still think that we need to go in a new direction, but we all know that he will be here for at least 3 more years...can't quite see Peter Fields firing Durham while his son is on the team. Yippee, 3 more years!!!
