I agree, a championship is a championship when you are playing teams at your same level. MSU was in different conference/leagues back then, so what . .they still beat their competition doing it.
So, the Cats really 'beat their competition' in their three national championship games? The official Cat records don't reflect that fact - but rather show a tie in one of them. It looks to me like you only "won" two of those games.
Oh no, here we go again .. a Griz fan talking about co-champions :)

Hauck's remarks remind me of the guy on the Miller Beer commercial...his assessment was a travishamockery!

The Griz look to me like they will have all the weapons they need to win. The biggest short coming on that team is the COACH. It doesn't matter how good the players are if they are poorly coached. And they are. Anyone who would pick Hauk over Kramer as a better coach would have to have their head surgically removed from their ACE!!!!! Griz lose this year because of poor coaching, poor preparation, and poor game strategy. Any coach that will try to put some quick points on the board by running the option (ex Cat/Griz 03) will have a tough time again this year.

Speaking of the Option, I just remembered something. During the pre-game interview before Cat\Griz, Kramer said that talent-wise we were pretty well matched up, and that the game depended on one thing. He said "If we stop the option, and they will run it, game over." At the time I just chalked it up to Kramer yapping a little bit too much. But he was right in the end though.

Great time to be a BOBCAT!

When does Kramer not yap a bit too much? Actually, I give him credit. Unlike many coaches, Kramer consistenly yaps before, during, and after contests, win or lose.

When I read the topic of this thread I thought it was going to be about predicting the team records for the up coming season. I didn't expect Hauck bashing even though most everything here seems to turn into it! When will I ever learn..................

Now your even bashing him for what he didn't say! That's O.K. Go ahead and bash. You have such precious little time left to do it!

By the way, I wouldn't trade any State players for Griz players either!

Well, .......yes I do!!!!!

Actually I've agreed with State fans many times before! I think once was last year on Egriz, then back in 2000 a friend of mine (State Alumni) said to me,"sure is smoky out ain't it." Had to agree with him then too!

Then there was back in 1998....................

Ya I know he is. I like Hauck. He has PASSION! I like a man who has passion for what he does and shows it. I like Kramer when he is showing his passion. I just don't get off on this bit about "pacifying everyone"! Hell, they're coaches, they should be proud of their teams and to heck with those who take offence......just don't give bulletin board material, and by that I don't mean this ticky tacky crap that is brought out in bulletin boards because it's still 2 friggen months until football!!!!

I like Hauck..................just feel the OC could have done much better last year! But, its a new year. I'll give the OC another chance.

(A word of advice to him though...........I NOW have "local channels" so I can tape all the Griz games, and watch them over and over and over! Just what ya all want to hear!!!!!

I don't think Krames could be accused of pacifying everyone, unless I'm not reading you correctly. Krames marches to the beat of his own drum, especially when it comes to the players. It's either his way or the highway - I'd say over 90% of the time.

Agree with you about passion.

I think it's humerous as hell that hauck can hardly say 'State', let alone anything else resembling MSU, Montana State, or Cats. If you hate bb material, you don't have to look any further. I think the Cats took offense to that big time. Me, I could give a rats ***...doesn't p*** me off.

Just think, in another year, hauck will be saying, "We gave State another one." makes me smile I tell ya.

No he couldn't. That's the one of the things I respect about him.

As far as your last comment, Hauck saying "we gave them another one", I don't know why your so looking forward to it! It's obvious that he'll be talking about 1st downs and it's inevitable that you will eventually get a couple during the course of the game! Don't worry about it! We will probably even give you 2 or 3!

I hope you give us 2-3 more turnovers as well :) And also 2 or more long scores/INT's for TD's. Man that was an exciting game last year to watch if you were a Bobcat fan.
