VBALL: Solid effort in loss to BYU

Post by El_Gato » Fri Sep 02, 2005 11:34 am

BYU (a team getting Top 25 votes) downed the Bobcats 30-21, 30-20, and 30-28.

Despite the loss, it sounds like the girls are improving; Coach M sounds like she likes their progress & overall ability; they just need to toughen up mentally a bit...

They take on Kansas, another team getting Top 25 attention, later today.

Good luck Cats! Looking forward to seeing them next Friday night!

Go get 'em ladies!

If you want to partake in one of the better sports atmospheres and environments in the state go to a womens volleyball game over in Shroyer, its amazing! I am looking forward to my first trip to Shroyer as I am to Bobcat Stadium... well, maybe not that much, but I do love watching those gals play.

The Bobcats gave Kansas a good fight, losing in 4 games but had a great chance to stretch it to 5.

The preseason schedule this team is playing is BRUTAL; 4 Top 25 teams plus a couple others getting Top 25 votes; thus far they are giving those teams tough matches.

By the time the Big Sky slate rolls around, these ladies will be extremely tough. I like their chances...

The girls V-Ball program is consistant, well run and very competitive. Like most MSU sports. It is impressive how well some of our "other" teams have played year in and year out. Track, Tennis, V-Ball, Cross Country to name a few. Great programs!
