Dang! Our Schedule Is Tough!

Post by BelgradeBobcat » Sat Sep 10, 2005 9:56 pm

Cal Poly is beating up Sac State and North Dakota State blew up Northwestern State (La). These next two games are going to be really tough.

As for today-great performance. But I think we can be a lot sharper-that's a good thing-as we beat a pretty decent team even while making some errors.

What a difference a season has made for Fuller and Austin. They looked like veterans out there today.

Taking nothing away from Fuller and Austin (they had great games), but it all starts with Hunter. With him back he how takes the number 1 receiver (speed guy). Then it's a waterfall to the other backs.

Hunter is playing great and shuts down the lead receiver. Fuller and Austin are then better than the 2ndry receivers and wow.

When Davis is able to play, the DBs will take another step forward.

Does anyone else get the impression that we won't be seeing Eddie Smith playing in a bobcat uniform?

It's possible. I think that would be a shame. For the little he played last year, I thought he did a great job. It sounds like he worked pretty hard to get his hamstring and body back ready to play this fall.

I remember Kramer talking last year about Eddie being a return man as well.

It's still early though.

But back to the schedule:

Pretty impressive showing by NDSU. That surprised me. And we all know that Cal Poly will be tough.

I would love to be able to get to SLO to watch the CATS take on a team that has given us fits for many years. Kramer vs. Ellerson is always fun to watch. I went to the game there, the last time they played, and I thought that we had our chances. They had a big punt return for a td that turned the tables. I thought that last year in Bozeman, we had our shots, just couldn't get it done.

Lulay is 0-3 to Cal Poly. Not something he has forgotten about I'm sure.

Fuller and Austin are definitely improved thanks to a years' experience, but the main reason is the addition of Coach Jimmy Lake. He makes a big difference. Several players indicated that Saturday after the game. A great hire for Coach Kramer and Coach K. (Pete)!
