The Bengals can further prove to the I-AA world that they deserve to be included in the Top 25 with a win at Montana State. Montana State had a proving game last week in defeating Top 25 North Dakota State in Bozeman 20-17, while the Bengals also took care of a Top 25 foe themselves in Eastern Washington at their home of Pocatello.
Montana State has been a team that historically has played in a lot of close games when they play ISU. Last year was no different in that the Bobcats defeated the Bengals 17-13 in Pocatello.
MSU quarterback Travis Lulay proved to me again that he is one of the nation’s best quarterbacks and I think the MSU defense is much underrated.
One fact in the Bengals favor is that Coach Lewis is 4-2 against the Bobcats in his ISU career.
I feel that the Bengals, while talented, are just too inexperienced to win this game on the road.
I don’t think ISU can outlast the Bobcats in this game and it should keep to the traditionally tight games (12 of the last 17 have been decided by one score or less). I like MSU by a touchdown at home.

I believe that Kent is a Bison fan, perhaps that just clouded his judgement last week.
You should be back on this week by the looks of things.

Yes, I am a NDSU alum so in turn a Bison fan. I try not to pick with my heart but sometimes it does get clouded as WYCAT suggested. My picks have been quite bad this year.
Week 1--picked correctly New Hampshire over UC Davis.
Week 2--wrongly picked Northwestern State over NDSU.
Week 3--wrongly picked MSU to defeat Cal Poly.
Week 4--wrongly picked NDSU to defeat MSU.
Week 5--???? picked MSU to defeat ISU
I hope I am 2-3 after this weekend. As a prognosticator, I hope MSU wins but really ISU is a good story.

I agreed with your picks during weeks 2 and 3. The NDSU win in LA was surprising and I really thought (okay maybe hoped) this was the year we finally beat Poly. So in my eyes you are really 3-1 going on 4-1.
ISU is a big turnaround story. They are going to be interesting to follow through conference play.

Kent, my clouded judgment comment was tongue in cheek, so I hope you didn't think I was serious. There was absolutely nothing wrong with picking your Bison last week. I sure hope you go to 2-3 after this week as well!
By the way, I have enjoyed reading your column on i-aa.org, you do a great job of covering western I-AA.
