Maybe this will help a bit with the "fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrsssssstttttttt ddoooooooooooooowwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnn" issue:

To me, it simply sounds too phony, too forced. It's something he "came up with" and I think he's trying too hard NOT to mimick the griz PA guy.

IMO, WHO CARES? Most of us haven't been or don't regularly go to WaGriz so we wouldn't even know or care what that guy does.

IMO, he should belt it out like he's excited about the first down, not doing something "rehearsed". Those of you who've heard the WaGriz guy know what I mean; I greatly prefer his style to our guy.

And yes, sometimes you can literally HEAR the nervousness in it as he says it; it simply shouldn't be something that takes that much effort.

Grizzlies: 2-5 when it matters most

It's almost like he shows up without any preparation... or maybe he spends all of his time planning to remember the opponents names and forgets about us? Kurt Bushnell used to do a good job. He was accurate and maybe a little invisible. I never really thought one way or another about what he said.
