Joey played in his first game tonight as you all probably know. He was called for two pass interference penalties (Carroll got one too), but did get an interception. I don't think the penalties are too bad because of the new rules. There have been a lot of them called this preseason.

I know we're gonna hear some wisecrack from a frizzer about the two PIs but I even heard an announcer comment that players, coaches, and referees alike were all still trying to adjust to the new coverage rules.

The INT is exiting, indeed! Is there a clip of it on the packers website, or anything? Perhaps I should go see for myself.

There isn't a clip yet, but the game is going to be replayed at 11 pm Mountain time on NFL network. I don't know if I can stay up that late! I'm going to have to drink a couple of Mountain Dews.

Didn't see the game, but read the recap. When the other DB got the interception, the paper said he scored a TD after being sprung by "a key block from newcomer cornerback Joey Thomas". Made my day just reading that.

Now that he's not covering the Griz I wish him all the best. I want him to start and be announced from a 1AA school on Monday Night Football. It's good for the state and 1AA.

That would be hilarious if he did what I've seen others do: "Joey Thomas, THE Montana State University Bobcats!
