  I just returned from the Homecoming parade, and it really depressed me to see how many people didn't even acknowledge the United States flag going by, let alone even remove there hats. I was standing next to the Bobcat men's BB team and coach Durham stood there and didn't even quit talking for the colors going by. What happened to showing respect for the flag. Maybe I was just raised better. I always remove my hat and place my hand over my heart whenever the flag goes by. Just a little ranting on my part. Ok, Time to eat and head for the game. Yahoo, kick some butt CATS..... :D

I notice at ball games, folks start applauding immeadiately after the Star Spangled Banner (if not during). I learned from an American Legion member that you should remain with your hand over your heart until it the flag leaves the court, or field, and is lowered. I think I learned this at Boys State. It is not that hard to remain respectful for 20 more seconds. I really dislike it when people yell during the Anthem.
