How do people get sucked into these ridiculous back and forth’s with troll posters? The dude is clearly a griz troll. Just stop engaging and responding to him, simple as that.

Entitled fan who is entitled to his own opinion. The one thing you might want to recognize is that you are completely alone in your opinion. I don’t see one single poster supporting your position. Given the resounding feedback from everyone, maybe you should STFU.gris_h8er wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 10:48 amThe unfortunate thing about being 4-2 is Vigen only won one of those. I’m entitled to expectations and opinions just as you are entitled to expectations and opinions. If you guys are content with eight wins, a loss to the gris and a loss in the playoffs, that’s cool. I’m not.Cataholic wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 9:56 amENTITLED FAN. DELUSIONAL FAN. You have no appreciation for how hard it is to be successful at this level. No appreciation for our recent success. Won 4 of the last 6 against the Gris. The only embarrassment I see is an entitled fan that acts more like the Griz fans than a loyal Cat fan.gris_h8er wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 7:53 am“Oh no we suck again”Cataholic wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 9:20 pmI can’t believe you are still trying to have this discussion. How old are you? I am guessing that you have only been a Cat fan for a decade and think these runs of success are normal. They aren’t! You had to go back 70 years for a comparison. Give it a break. If Vigen misses the playoffs, let’s have a discussion. But weak zero against an FBS team after making runs in the playoffs for every year he has been here is lunacy.gris_h8er wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 7:45 pmTony Storti ‘56-‘57 Herb Agocs ‘58 is a better three year span than Vigen’s. 27-3-1Cataholic wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 10:32 amHe has only been head coach during the most successful span in the history of our program. That is an overly simplistic view of the people who are upset with Vigen. The fact is the first three quarters of the game a ton of the same mistakes that were made from a coaching standpoint were repeated with new coordinators. At some point there’s only one explanation left…
Happy to see the win. Bottom line is we all want to see wins. I don’t care who the coach is, if Vigen is gonna do it that’s great. If he’s gonna continue to make mistakes I’m gonna complain about the mistakes simple as that.
Past embarrassments are no excuse for current mediocrity. Making the playoffs are underperformance without a win in Frisco. And how about doing better than 1-2 against the gris?? Is that too much to ask??
I remember when the team sucked, but I also know that they don’t suck now which means the expectations are higher.
I might be entitled expecting more wins than eight, but you’re being unrealistic if you can’t adjust expectations based on talent and degradation of the division.

We're 5-2 against the Griz, going back to 2016. Choate was 4-0, and Vigen is 1-2. Everyone was disappointed with how last season turned out, because with a better kicking game, fewer mistakes, and making a few more plays here and there, the 2023 Bobcats could have easily been in Frisco, in place of the Griz. I do think there is some pressure on Vigen, because we're trending in the wrong direction, going from playing in the NC game in 2021, to losing in the SF in 2022, to losing in the 2nd round last year. But to talk about firing him after the success he's had in his first three seasons is completely unjustified. We've only made the SF three times in the last 40 years, and Vigen has been the coach for two of those.
We had three agonizing losses last season, to SDSU, Idaho, and NDSU, and were 0-3 in close games. Sometimes that's a sign of a team that can't win close games for whatever reason, and sometimes it's just nothing more than plain old dumb luck. On Saturday, we finally came out on the other side of a game like that. I may be reading too much into it, but I'd like to think maybe it's a sign that we're going to find a way to win those close games this season.
On a side note, how ironic is it that we won a game on Saturday, partially due to the other team's kicker missing two FG, after all the issues we had with kicking last year? Granted, it couldn't have been an easy task kicking in that game, with the way the wind was blowing, but I still have PTSD from all our missed kicks from last season.

Did any true Freshmen play? I remember hearing about the TX speedster that might break the 2-deep but wasn't sure if he or anyone else made the travel team.

Totally unsurprising. Yet another myopic post from a myopic fan. Sure Vigen's family won't be on the street, but this is FCS football, where assistant coaches are paid far less than likely the average of what current gainfully employed BN posters make. Irresponsibility calling for the firing of an extremely successful head coach is not only ludicrous, but also heartless when considering how many livelihoods and family units are represented by his staff.gris_h8er wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 10:35 amHe can fall out of bed into another job, after all beating the gris once and smelling a national championship is good enough, some say it’s great. Right?tdub wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 9:36 amBingo. Enjoy the frickin’ ride.
The fact is that there is more to coaching and building a program than just “W’s”. And Vigen has done a good job. He stepped into a great program and has strengthened the foundation of that program, We ALL want a national title for the Cats. But calling for coach’s jobs because things aren’t going the way YOU, as a fan, expect them to go is overboard. These guys have families and lives outside of football. This isn’t NCAA on a PlayStation. Losing jobs has real consequences for real families.
I highly, highly doubt that anyone spouting off about firing coaches hasn’t met or looked their families in the eye. When you humanize those words, they become much harder to say.
I don’t know if you’ve ever hired or fired anyone, but hiring is not a charity. And if he doesn’t get another coaching job, there’s plenty of insurance to be sold in the world. The implication that his family will end up on the street is completely ridiculous.
You make it sound like he's the second coming of Earle Solomonson... Get a grip dude!
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

There aren't any true freshmen listed on the participation report for MSU.

Jhase McMillan is the Texas speedster. He suited up but I don’t recall seeing him play
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I believe Jhase McMillan, Dane Steel, and Aiden Kaplan were the true freshman that made the trip, but none saw any action.

And Maclain Burckley who I think is the #3 punter after Kautzman (who's hurt). Also #3 for kickoffs so he'll be the #2 on the depth chart until Casey gets healthy.HelenaCat wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 3:23 pmI believe Jhase McMillan, Dane Steel, and Aiden Kaplan were the true freshman that made the trip, but none saw any action.

Well, we Lobos fans saw the team for the first time on Saturday, and just from a physical standpoint, this team is bigger across the front line on both offense me defense. Looks like we’ll be running a 4-3 or 3-4 defense, so they are bigger than the previous teams that ran a 3-3-5. They were smaller and gang tackled. This team is just not experienced enough to know how to win games. As good as you guys were, many a Lobos fan felt we SHOULD HAVE won this game, but the scoreboard doesn’t lie. I was surprised how much offense we gave up! Not gonna win many games giving up those kinds of numbers.JoeCatsJoe wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 1:51 pmI’m curious, how do you think your athletes were in comparison to previous years? I was at the game, and to me, it was New Mexico that looked like the tired team, in the 4th quarter. Giving up 21 points in the 4th, and over 500 yards of total offense is something we’re use to seeing around here. Your team’s toughness and composure really showed up there at the end. And now we all know what kind of team we have here. Lots of fans are saying ‘same as it ever was’. And that wind storm that blew in to disrupt the game, was just the ghosts of Lobos teams past, making sure of that, lol.
I’m afraid it’s gonna be another long season for us, but now coach Mendenhall know what’s he’s got to work with, and what he needs to work on… DEFENSE and STAMINA!
You guys had a great fan base show up as well. Very nice people and very respectful, no gloating or whooping it up in front of obviously dejected Lobos fans. Good luck the rest of the season. I’m sure your team will be in the hunt for the title at the end of the season! I’ll be rooting for you guys!
We have a bigger better team this year under Bronco, but we have to be patient here, hoping they will start to play as a unit by the time conference time rolls around, but we are gonna get our arses handed to us by Arizona and Auburn, I’m afraid. Just hope we get through these next two game with no serious injuries.
GOod luck for the rest of the season, I’ll be following your team all the way to the playoffs. Go Cats!

For me personally, the most stress free enjoyment that I have ever gotten out of (Bobcat) football was Choate’s first couple years. I knew it was a full rebuild from the inside out, but they played a lot of very competitive games. No expectations of national championship or bust, just a lot of very close games.Loboman 59 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 7:14 pmWell, we Lobos fans saw the team for the first time on Saturday, and just from a physical standpoint, this team is bigger across the front line on both offense me defense. I can certainly understand that feeling. Can’t be too often that the team that scores two defensive touchdowns loses the game. And, the Lobos had several chances to close the door, but couldn’t. That takes time, and it seems like Bronco has a good track record with building that culture. I thought you all had some dudes, and I hope that these next couple games don’t destroy any chance of being competitive in conference play. Good luck the rest of the season!Loboman 59 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 7:14 pmWell, we Lobos fans saw the team for the first time on Saturday, and just from a physical standpoint, this team is bigger across the front line on both offense me defense.
