Chin Up!

Post by Lord Vigo » Tue Jan 07, 2025 7:13 am

The Bobcats are loaded, they have continuity at head coach, and they’ve proven to be consistently among the elites. Yesterday was a gut punch specifically because they were the better team and made mistakes that cost them in a close one. But the other side of the coin is that they’re right there. Go Cats.

Positive take. We kept it close, something that hadn't happened in this game before. Gotta figure out how to win against these guys though. Vigen should know but hasn't made it happen yet. Tommy, in his post game, said the better team didn't win, I agree with him. What he didn't say was that the coaches didn't set them up to win and that's what's frustrating. Apparently the moment was too big for the staff. Being undefeated and favored by every entity from betting pools, to former coaches and players, to every sports prognosticator, etc must have been too much. Too much hype always seems to backfire. Onto next year, but I'm still bummed.

Exactly. The fact we are mourning coming just short of winning a Natty is proof of how far we’ve come. It sucks but we have a ton to be grateful for.

Let's face it, NDSU is the gold standard and we only showed up for a half. But super proud of our boys and coaches. Proud to be a Bobcat.

If we had just showed up at all in the 1st half would of had it, was damm close in the end. I'm surprisingly not sad/upset

Agreed! If we play bobcat ball in the first half, we win that game.

Gave up 2 long scores to USD in 1st half also. Just matched the score. Almost did that with the 17 play drive that could have changed momentum, only het FG, get stop, don't convert on 4th down give up TD. that sequence was huge. Actually played OK in 2nd.
