The Senior Class - What Now?
I posted about Pro Day several days ago, but I think everyone, including me, was too busy being sad after Monday night to really want to get into it. Now that we are facing portal losses, which suck, but was expected, I'm curious what others think some of the senior class will do now - NFL, coaching, etc.?
I know Brody said his New Year Resolution was to make the league, who else? Mellott, Hall, McCulloch, Wehr of course...anyone else? What about the injured guys? Are they healed up enough to compete in the Pro Day? Will missing this season kill their chances of a look? I have to believe that with making it to the NC, and the numerous awards and recognitions given this season, there are scouts looking at several of our guys.
I also have been thinking of Danny U and wondering what his future holds. I think he would make a fantastic graduate assistant/coach. Such a team guy and the players seem to just love him, let alone the fans.

Wehr should get drafted. Brenden and Brody likely will be UDFA and you could toss Tommy in there too depending on his pro day. Brody is a freak athlete and his numbers could jump off the page for some coaches but we will see. I could definitely see Danny coaching since his brother is still on the team and he is a natural leader.

Does anyone know if Tommy will participate in the pro day? What about Ty?

I'm sure anyone who wants to will participate, including Ty.

What I meant was, Brody specifically mentioned that as a goal. I know there's been speculation on this site about whether Tommy has any desire to play at the next level. Wasn't sure if that others had expressed a specific interest or rejection of the idea. Guess they all have the opportunity to do it and see where the cards fall.

Danny U seems like a natural fit for a GA. Would be a great recruiter as well.

My thought exactly! Didn't know what other plans he might have, but I'd love to see him stay.coloradocat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 2:40 pmDanny U seems like a natural fit for a GA. Would be a great recruiter as well.

If we want to build up / grow our culture to keep out of state players from fleeing he's where we start.nanacat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 2:54 pmMy thought exactly!
