Daniel picked up two tackles in yesterday's Bears loss to the Texans. One solo, one assist....

I think the Bears have a defensive end coming off the PUP list after game 4. At that point Hardy or Dominique Robinson a former Bears 5th round pick, could be a cut risk. For the first two games of the season, Robinson has been inactive and Hardy has played well, which is a great sign for him sticking.

They have been loath to cut ties with Robinson even though he hasn’t produced at all. Hardy’s special teams play has been tremendous so I’m hopeful they will make the right decision.

With how bad the Bears’ offensive line is playing, Daniel basically won the game against the Titans with that blocked punt. If he’s cut, the Raiders need depth at DE because Malcolm Koonce is out for possibly the entire season.

Really psyched for Daniel. For a guy who is just trying to hang on and carve out a place in the league right now, each big play he can make is huge.

This probably secures his places on the roster for at least a few more games at $53,000 per week. Hope he can build to a substantial career, but until then, each week he can stay active brings life-changing money.

So cool to see him doing this. These kids love it as does everyone associated with the hospital. Means a lot.

My aunt, who was a nun in St. Paul at St. Katherine’s, just loved Randy Moss even though she only knew he was a Viking, not how great he was. After she got to know how good he was she found out he didn’t want anyone outside to know he was there just wanted it to be between him and the kids and staff.

Anyway just a cool story that came to mind when I saw this and I know Moss isn’t the only star that does that.

Thats awesome except for that he will probably get the minimum and can't field other offers. I am a bears fan, but always hope that they get paid early as their careers are usually never long. Hopefully he can get a decent sign on bonus added to it.

Obviously, this doesn't include positive income like training camp pay, per diem, and other pays or negative income things like taxes and agent fees. He should have a decent raise this season and if he gets three full seasons (he currently has two) with at least three or four games on the active roster, then he will qualify for a pension as well. The NFL also has a great 401K type system. If he is saving his money, he will be pretty well off in the future.
