Re: 2025 Montana Recruits
He self reports a 4.9, so you can probably assume a bit slower than that. He seems very strong, and a good football player and great wrestler. I’m not trying to be negative at all, I’m just really not sure where he’d project to play. One of those really good tweeners that just doesn’t really project to college football. I know nothing about wrestling, but maybe he has a future there?Cataholic wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 11:36 amHow do you know he is not fast? I am not expecting him to run a blazing 40, but I saw a pretty special athlete wrestle. Seems hard to believe that a freak athlete at 5’9” who looked lean and solid could not contribute at the Frontier level. At least at Fullback. I was just surprised that he did not even appear on the overall Montana recruits lists.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 9:50 amWhere would you play somebody who is 5’9, 215, and not exactly fast? I would guess that’s the main reason.Cataholic wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 10:20 pmSpeaking of Luke Oxarart, is there a reason that Brady Armstrong from Jefferson is not getting offers. Can he long snap? A guy like that barreling downfield on punts or kickoffs could be pretty destructive. Not sure how the Cats look for that position in 2025. At 5'9" he could be a fullback/short yardage specialist? Agree with BB though, hard to project to FCS ball. If he gets a scholly at MT Tech, take it and make it!
The State of Montana is Bobcat country.

So looking back through this what's crazy is there is one commit to Rocky off this whole list and none to Northern. Is Jerome just really sucking up in Havre? Is that Gary kid maybe committed to Northern since he's the highest ranked without a commitment?

Re: 2025 Montana Recruits
That is interesting. You don't see many kids even post offers from Northern. If they did then maybe he just loses out, but hopefully he is offering MT kids. Better chance they stay. Dickinson seems to be getting a lot of hi line and eastern mt kids.

Dickenson has always out recruited Montana schools in those areas (as long as memory serves)

Well, like most North Dakota schools, they have to go out of state to find their talent. Last year, Dickinson had around 53 kids from Montana on their roster and 29 from North Dakota.kwcat wrote: ↑Sun Mar 30, 2025 12:52 pmDickenson has always out recruited Montana schools in those areas (as long as memory serves)
