Pro Day and Draft Prospects

Post by catatac » Tue Apr 01, 2025 3:30 pm

I could have sworn there was already a discussion about this on here but I can't find it now. I believe the Pro Day is day after tomorrow... does anyone have a list of players participating? Also, do we think ay players have a shot at getting drafted? I would think it's a possibility considering players like Mellott, Wehr, Hall, Grebe, etc.

Wehr is best shot. Late round. Other 3 likely get signed after. Grebe is longest shot in my opinion.

For what it's worth (probably not much), I've been following the few full 7-round mock drafts that get posted occasionally and haven't seen Wehr, Mellott, or any other MSU player listed in any of them. Perhaps after pro day there will be some more buzz around them, and of course all it takes is one team who really likes a player to turn a UDFA into a draft pick.

Don't take this as gospel but I was told UM's pro day is April 3 and MSU's pro day is April 4.

I wonder how many scouts will attend?

Those dates have been reported on Fox Sports and USA Today. I haven't seen anything from the team or school.

Ditto, and I apologize as I think I did list the wrong dates. Seems weird that there has not been any media coverage\hype about this. I know it's "Just a Pro Day", but for some of these players it might be very important in determining whether they continue playing football or not. If Colter or anyone else has written anything about this, or talked to the players about their ambitions, a link would be great. There has been so much speculation about Tommy specifically, will he get drafted, what is his position at the next level, is he a lock for a CFL QB if he wants it, does he even want to keep playing football, etc... but I don't remember ever hearing anything about this from Tommy himself.

Tommy has been training in California and has put out multiple videos of his NFL pro-day training regimen. There was even a 'go fund me' set up to help pay for his training.

Griz pro day is tomorrow April 3 and Bobcat pro day is Friday April 4. I'm about to do a pro day preview podcast with Brooks as we speak! Then I'll have full coverage of both events with reactions from players and numbers after their workouts the next few days!

I can't remember what Troy's 40 time was at the combine. I could probably look it up, but I'm sure one of you fine posters has it memorized. Curious to see how Tommy does tomorrow.

Thanks! Will Tommy beat it? Bergen ran a 4.5 yesterday I guess.
