Who sets the ticket prices, ticket allocation and how is the ticket take split?
So much blather going on out there…

My understanding:
Home teams set the ticket price but NCAA says you cannot sell for less then you sold at minimum for during regular season, so if your regular season included a $25 ticket price that would be your floor for playoffs. No tickets can be given away (that's why student tickets are donated).
NCAA says how many tickets you have to make available for away team to distribute and another 100 (ish) must also be available for away team bands (these are separate from fan/family/admin tickets and can only need used for band).
On ticket take. I have seen as high as 85% of revenue but I don't know the exact. What I do know is they take a % of all gameday revenue that would include parking and RV revenue. I believe that's why we don't pay extra for post season tailgate spots.
