Re: Will Ah Yat Struggle
I wouldn’t say he struggled, but there’s no way he’s an all American QB yet.
His resume is entirely about stuffing his stats against inferior opponents.

QBR of 114.5
Although he should have been credited with a completion on the fumble scoop and score that was inexplicably not reviewed even though the replay showed a clear reception and football move.

LFG!!! not that it should matter cause a wins a win but there’s nothing they can use for an excuse. The cats had their best defensive player out majority of the game! Plus the griz had their MVP return for this game

It was a fumble all the way. That touch kick off he must have touched it or he would not turned around and headed to end zone to get the ball. The gris beside him went chasing the ball to the end zone. It grazed him and they got away with that one too.

I thought so...but I didn't think the review was conclusive. Call on the field probably should have stood regardless of the call.mule wrote: ↑Sat Dec 20, 2025 6:49 pmIt was a fumble all the way. Ah Yat at Bobcat stadium was 17% less efficient on passing completions and had a 17 point drop in QB Rating. Thats a huge difference when you look at completing those 3rd and 4th downs that they were successful on in Missoula.

Was he injured? The post game articles listed the other injured players but he wasn't listed.onceacat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 20, 2025 8:24 pmI think he went out around halftime?nanacat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 20, 2025 8:23 pmYa, about that MVP Loud...I never heard his name called today. He completely crumbled after the SHUSH he gave the crowd when they went up 23-20. Don’t know what happpemed other than the moment may have become too big for him.

Re: Will Ah Yat Struggle
Ah Yat is probably a bit better pure passer but Lamson is better in everything else. But more so Justin has the ‘it’ factor. There plenty of great QBs that just don’t seem to rise to the occasion and right now KAY is that. It might not even necessarily be playing bad or causing your team to lose but it’s not making the plays to win. It’s Justin scrambling for a 1st down on 3rd and 7 during the drive where Lencioni scores to take the lead back. It’s finding Taco on 3rd and 20. KAY was bouncing passes and missing guys when they got down and then threw the pick trying to force it in a situation of his own creation. It doesn’t mean he could as just a sophomore learn to win, he has all the tools. But Lamson is the better QB and leader but more importantly is a winner. Dude is HIM.
