My bad. Two of the titles, and the 1956 team beat the Gris 33-14, which is even more embarrassing for them.seataccat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 2:47 pmNo they were not. UM was not NAIA in 1956 for the cats championship. The griz were NCAA major division.PapaG wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 2:03 pmThey were at the same level for those titles. They won a lot of games when MSU was basically Montana Tech playing UM. Oddly, MSU even won some of those games.BOBCATBORN wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 2:01 pmI also like that they don’t credit us for our national championships at that level but then count the games towards the total. Got to choose one or the other.Pecos24 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 1:36 pmBoom!coloradocat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 1:35 pmI hope griz fans never stop relying on the all time record. They can live in the past while we win in the present.

“House Money”
Not sure how many times i heard that term this week. UM had nothing to lose, no pressure at all, they were playing with house money.
Ive never seen so many grown men throw a tantrum over losing house money. Haha

They have something like 39 seniors but apparently none of them good enough to not be a major drop off from the guy in front of them.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 1:24 pmThis was my thoughts. Griz score 20 straight after the injuries, had half time to adjust, but lost because of them. Still had AhYat, Gillman, and Wortham. Hear all year they were 3 best in Nation at their position. You would think game an would center on them. Cats played essentially the whole game without Dowler.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 11:38 amUM scored 20 straight points after Shafer/Davis injuries. Shafer was a key injury. He’s very good and I believe a big part of their game plan(s).BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 11:23 amI really couldn't be happier.
Because of who/what UM is, and what the BSC is, they're almost guaranteed to get at least 8 wins a year. Likely always win the first round of the playoffs. Never be able to beat the best teams with the defensive scheme they run under Bobby, but never do quite bad enough to justify firing him. It's the perfect combination.
UM was 16-1 pre-Hauck and is 10-13 since. UM leads all time series 77-45-5(?) but Hauck is 7-8 (imagine being 7-8 and bragging about that all-time series record) and UM plays in Bozeman next year after losing 27 of 44 on two deep, while MSU loses 9 of 44.
Since 2010 the Griz are 5-10 vs the Bobcats.
Cats lose their first team All-American the first play of the game l, Brott is playing on one leg and I don’t think finished the game, and they still held the amazing Gris offense to under 350 yards.
I’m just so satisfied as a fan at how miserable that arrogant fanbase is right now with their silly excuses.

But but but the griz had their DB back and with his return it was going to make it impossible for the cats to run the ball against that defense this game…put up more points rush yards and pass yards despite his return.

100%. Many people also pointed to the SDSU game as a telling point that he wasn’t real impactful. They put up crazy numbers too (even with all their injuries)jgrilley406 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 3:33 pmBut but but the griz had their DB back and with his return it was going to make it impossible for the cats to run the ball against that defense this game…put up more points rush yards and pass yards despite his return.
