Coin toss:
What do we call?
What do we do if we win it?
This is actually pretty important IMO. Yes we need to win the toss and we need to 100% defer, give them the ball first - especially in that stadium.
I agree! Whenever there's a ton of energy at the start of a game, it gets killed a little bit when the home team goes on offense to start.
And more importantly IMO, we get to be on offense to start the 3rd when it's not very loud in there.
Great point.

Typically easier to win middle 8 if get the ball to start 3rd. End of 2nd can vary, but if have to make a stop and then score it is more difficult

Logic tells me you're correct. But part of me wants the ball and to go down and get 7 right out of the gate!

I wonder how many times the visiting team has done that on the first possession? Can't be often I wouldn't think

@bitterroot bobcat do you have the stats for what @ilovethecats asked??
Coin flip records are hit and miss...only 2 visiting teams have scored 1st in the past 12 games...

2017 Bozeman - MSU wins flip, defers, UM kicks FG 1st possession.
2012 Missoula - MSU scores 1st in the 3rd possession.

Other last 10 games the home team scored first...8 times after losing the toss.

You can't spell dUMb without UM and now you can't spell grizzLLies without 2 Ls.

I feel sorry for Oregon State but that would be an impossible place to win in football given the present landscape

Which scenario sounds more appealing:the Bunnies thumping the gris in 'the mecca' after hearing all session about how bad SDSU was, or whipping the gris in Bozeman to earn a trip to Nashville and see Bobby drop below .500 all time against the Cats?

Tough choice. It would be nice to see the gris defeated by a bad team. I am sure the Jack’s like a bit of motivation.

Honestly, it would be sweet and poetic justice if a"bad" SDSU beat them. A quick second round gris playoff exit would be fine by me.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

BIG IF, but if Vigen were to leave and you could only choose a coach to replace him from this year's coaching staff or last years coaching staff, who would it be and why?

Who would we like to face in our bracket? Do you want us to host our first Ivy League team (Yale)? See another Walter Payton winner? (Youngstown). Beat former Griz and punish SFA for pulling out of our home and home series? Or Lamar or Abilene Christian? The last 2 don’t seem as interesting to me.
